You'd tell yourself anything to make yourself feel better, wouldn't you?
Everyone says that living in a fantasy world isn't healthy
But living in reality isn't safe
So you chose fantasy
You chose to leave the people that cared about you
You chose to stay with those you wished cared about you
You chose the blue trees, pink rivers, and green skies
It's the paradise that's all about you
You din't get enough attention from the person you wanted it from
So you turned your back on everyone, including me
Now you say that I left you because I chose to live in reality
I chose to stay with all of the other people and their problems
I chose to fight and not run away
I chose to take a risk and my outcome didn't include you
When actually, you left no space for me in your fantasy
You chose to abandon me
So go ahead and lie to yourself
Tell yourself that I abandoned you
and that i didn't want to be with you
and that I don't care about you
You know you're wrong and
You'd tell yourself anything to make yourself feel better, wouldn't you?
