Blow out the birthday candles
See a shooting star
Throw a coin in a well
They're all ways to make wishes
The girl wishes for love
The man wishes for money
Your enemy wishes for revenge
What do you wish for?
What has you holding your breath through the entire tunnel?
What's so important?
You take every chance you get
Even at Thanksgiving, when you say you have everything
You break the wishbone and hope to get the bigger side
Why do you waste your time?
Wishes, they're great to have
But don't wish it,
Do it!
If it's so important that you wish at every chance,
It should be important enough to take action
Only you have the power to make your wish come true
Wishes, they aren't safe anyway
Haven't you heard?
Be careful what you wish for, it just might come true
Wishes have strings attached
But go ahead
Blow away the dandelion,
Blow away the eyelash,
Release the white dove
Just watch your wishful thinking
Watch your wishful thinking
You don't know where it might take you
It'll probably leave you stuck,
Relying on wishes and never doing anything for yourself
