A ray of sunshine
Illuminates the sand below
And I see you again
The mirage of you beckons me,
Come forward
When I get my head right,
You're gone again
Only to be blown back
I see you being carried
By a gust of wind
You're carried away by the same breeze
Then I find you peering at me
From a pool of water
Your reflection shimmers and fades away
I hear your voice
It calls to me from beyond the trees
Then your echo fades too
You refuse to leave me
You haunt me like a dream
One from long ago,
One I can never hold
