You're hurting my feelings over here
I have to be strong
Can't show weakness in front of you
I'm never good enough for you
You just speak of the things that I do wrong
And when I do something right it goes unnoticed
I ask myself why it has to be this way
But it's how you express yourself, I know this
You're lost and so low
You have to pull everyone down with you
You're just trying to hurt me, that I can see
I tried to get away, but you wouldn't let me leave
Now matter how much I struggle
I can't get away from your grasp
I don't know why I still have hope that you can change
Maybe time will heal your pain
You're bad for me, I know
But I can't bear to leave you alone
Until then:
The dagger over my heart,
the gun to my head,
the drugs in your hand,
You're finding ways to kill me again
