One thousand paces, one thousand turns
One thousand miles more where I got scrapes and burns
I think I'm finally giving up
I'm tired and weary
And I have no where else to go
I'm finally giving up
There's nothing else to show
I'll lay my body down in the grass
Here I'll sleep eternally
The grass is forgotten, it hasn't been cut in a while
It's so soft. It offers me comfort
Down in the overgrown, forgotten grass I can almost smile
I finally have a companion,
Someone nearly as forgotten as me
I'll lay down and give up blissfully
I'm too tired
I can't get up from here
I've come from so far
I've chased the star I'll never reach
And now I really just want to sleep
