In a world in search of perfection,
Some will be left behind
There will be no room for me
But progress isn't necessary
Sometimes all you need is to survive
Pave your own path
Fight for yourself and those who can't fight at all
Pave your path
Refuse to be trampled underfoot
Let them know you won't stop fighting
Let them know you can't be held back
The new world is closer to "perfect"
But it's not as beautiful as it used to be
It's not as wonderous as it used to be
Those who are "perfect" seem not to care
They think of themselves and nothing else
They think they are better
Everything's dead, or dying
But there are those who remember how it used to be
You used to be able to go outside
Feel the sun's warmth,
Catch a refreshing breeze,
A hint of orange in the air
There used to be trees.
Now there's just this stifling heat.
It sucks at the planet,
the people and animals too.
In this new world,
In this stifling heat,
I will fight for me and you
