Chapter 2: Wait...A Boy?!

[Ursula POV]

He must have fallen asleep because I could feel his grip on me slip a little. And I could also hear his light snores from behind me. At least he was becoming a bit more comfy around me.

Ursula: I wonder if they'll allow you to stay. If you were out there on your own then maybe you were trying to get to Luna Nova.

If that was the case then I would make sure that he got his chance to fulfil what he came to do. If he wanted to go to Luna Nova then I would make that happen!

Ursula: Not too far now! Don't worry you'll be fine in no time!

He doesn't answer me but I do get a few grunts as he moves around and continues to sleep. I hope that healing spell has managed I work on him for the moment. He may need additional treatment to ensure that he fully recovers.

Soon enough the school is in sight. As I approached I could see the headmistress stood at the entrance waiting for me. I hope I haven't broken too many rules! But then again I'll show her this young boy and I might be able to get away with it.

I touch down and she approaches me with a smile on her face.

Holbrooke: No need to look so worried my dear! I knew something was up this morning and it seems you found it. Or should I say, you found them!

I look back at the sleeping boy while the headmistress got closer.

Holbrooke: Poor soul. Why was he all the way out there? There was a terrible wind last night! I'm surprised you managed to find him in time!

Ursula: He must be very resilient.

Holbrooke: Indeed.

He begins to stir and he opens his eyes and looks at me. I smile at him and then he turns to see the headmistress also smiling at him. He seemed to be startled and buried his face in my back again. He was shaking again.

Holbrooke: Oh dear. There's no need to be scared! What could possibly make this boy so afraid?

Ursula: I'm not sure. I think he might need some medical attention.

Holbrooke: You're right. Let's get him to the infirmary and check him over and then we can ask our questions when he is feeling well again.

I nod my head and look back at him. He was still hiding his face in my back.

Ursula: She won't hurt you! We just have to make sure that there is nothing wrong with you!

He slowly lifts his head up and nods at me before climbing off. He stumbled a bit and nearly fell over but I managed to catch him.

Ursula: Oops! Looks like you need just a little bit of help walking. That's ok! Just lean up against me, I'll hold your weight.

He leans up against me and I can see his eyes opening and closing again. I think he might just be letting go!

Ursula: No please pull through! You've come this far! Don't give up!

He looks at me and he looks completely worn out. I could see tears falling from his eyes as I put an arm around him and squeezes him tight.

Ursula: You're strong enough to pull through this! I know you are!

He rests his head against my arm as we continue to walk.

Holbrooke: How is he?

Ursula: I think he might be slipping away! We have to be quick!

Holbrooke: No fear! The nurse just needs to get him stable and from there he should be fine!
