Chapter 11: My Doubts

[Y/N POV]

I must have slept through absolutely everything last night because when I opened my eyes again, the sun was shining in through the window.

Y/N: D-Did I-I m-miss anything?

Lotte: No you didn't Y/N.

I have to admit I wasn't expecting an answer but nonetheless I turned myself to see Lotte sat in her bed, reading her book.

Y/N: O-oh o-ok then.

Lotte: You're one heavy sleeper though! Akko came blundering in the end and we had to quieten her down so she didn't wake you!

I too was surprised that I haven't been awoken by Akko yet, I guess I have become quite a heavy sleeper. This mattress must have magical charms on it!

Y/N: Y-yeah. I-I a-am sleeping better!

I yawn and stretch myself out before laying back down again.

Lotte: I wouldn't be too worried about getting up Y/N. We don't have any lessons today. It's the weekend!

I was wondering what day it was as I had completely lost track. It was nice to know what day it was now!

Y/N: Awesome!

I pull my covers back over me and hear Lotte giggle.

Lotte: You're not gonna sleep all day right?

Y/N: N-no o-of course not! J-just taking this opportunity to rest a little more!

While cocooned in my blanket, my mind drifted back to yesterday and more importantly...the kiss that Hannah gave me. I still couldn't work out why she would do it! She said I was a good friend and yet still kissed me!

Y/N: I-I'm th-thinking a-about this too much aren't I?

I don't know why I was just starting to doubt everything now. Like if that's how friends show affection to each other, then what would they do when they're in love?!

Was I even in love?!

I have no idea!!!

Y/N: For goodness sake Y/N! Just calm down!

But then again, all I really wanted was someone to love me...I just felt so empty.

*sigh*

This really isn't easy is it?

Sucy: So what actually happened last night?

Akko: Sorry Sucy! I'm not allowed to tell you! Yes! I win again!

Y/N: H-How d-did you just...you know what. I-I won't even ask.

I spent most of the morning getting my butt kicked by Akko in her card game. Most of the plays she made just baffled me. But she has been doing this a long time.

Sucy: She definitely cheats!

Akko: No I don't! I'm just too good at this! Let's play again!

Sucy: Maybe if you practiced your magic a bit more, you'd be good at that too.

Akko looked like she was about to ounce at Sucy but I got in the way and shook my head.

Y/N: D-Don't react Akko! Th-that j-just gives her more to go on!

Akko: You're right! From now on, I won't react to anything you say to me!

Sucy: Sometimes I wish that you weren't such a good friend Y/N. Somehow, you've managed stop Akko from being stupid.
