I walked down the stairs seeing Mum rush around the kitchen. She looked like she was trying to fix me and her breakfast. I stood in front of the island with my back over one shoulder, "Don't bother, Mumma, I'm not hungry." I quietly sniffled knowing that I had bags under my eyes because I didn't sleep a wink last night.
She looked back at me and creased her eyebrows, "Harry, I know you didn't have dinner last night. You need to eat."
"I'll eat something at lunch. I'm just not hungry right now," I spoke softly.
She sighed, "Okay. Will you at least drink some orange juice?" I nodded in response and did what she asked.
"Can you take me to school?" I asked.
"Zayn isn't coming to get you?"
I shook my head, "He's not feeling well."
"Awe, poor thing. Okay, we've got to hurry then," she said before we both headed out to the car. I got in and buckled up. Just after Mum did, she turned to me before starting the car. "Baby, are you okay?"
I simply nodded my head, "Yeah, I'm fine."
"Okay," she started the car and backed out of the driveway. "When did you go to sleep last night?"
"Late," I lied.
She hummed, "You need to start getting to bed earlier."
I lied again, "I had an assignment due in Math and I was having trouble with it."
"Did you finish it?" she asked still looking a head.
"Yeah," I mumbled leaning my head against the window watching the buildings and trees past by quickly. When she pulled into the school I quickly got out saying a quick, "bye." Before I ran in the doors and to the boys restroom as quick as I could. I sat on the dirty floor with my knees pulled up to my chest.
I think I've been here before.....

I didn't see Zayn, Liam, or Niall for first block, but that changed when I was on my way to English. I kept my gaze on the ground as I felt a hand slip around my shoulder. I looked up seeing Niall Horan smirking at someone in front of me. I locked gazes with Zayn before he shook his head and entered the door to English. I shrugged Niall's arm off my shoulders knowing exactly what he was doing. I was going to fight back but I was much too exhausted and broken to do such a thing.
I sat down beside Zayn putting my stuff down with shaky hands and feeling a sense of deja vu. It was as if we traveled back in time to when I first sat by Zayn in English. I remember being so uncomfortable and anxious which is how I felt right now. This would have been a perfect copy of that exact day if Zayn was smiling and taking an odd interest in me; which he wasn't. He was doing the exact opposite actually. I glanced over at him to see that he wasn't looking at me but straight a head. "Hi," I said quietly.
His eyes looked in my direction for less than a second before they went back to looking towards the front, "Hey."
I felt my heart break all over again. I really did screw up this time. I laid my head down on my arms waiting for Ms. Peterson to start the class. When she did I noticed she kept sending me and Zayn odd, curious looks. She told us that we were going to start reading a book tomorrow and that there would be multiple essays and other assignments to go along with it. Then she dived into a short English lesson about proper sentence construction since we supposedly "were very poor at it even though we should have learned this skill years ago". Only half of the class (the ones who obviously were either 'nerds' or didn't know how to construct a proper sentence) paid attention while the other half either snuck their phones, slept, worked on other assignments or zoned out (which is what I did).
