Part Eleven

Ritsuko's POV

Stupid partner, Stupid grimm. I thought as I shot an arrow at one of the Beowolfs that were trying to get into the infantry. This is what happens when pressure is put on people who don't have the proper way to deal with it. With that thought, I shoved Oblivion Oath into one of the grimms eyes.  This is why I wanted to wait until after graduation but no they just had to make their move now.  I have a very bad feeling about all of this, especially since Ami is still missing, and Declan won't listen to reason. I haven't seen Shawn in a while either. "RITSUKO! OVER HERE!" I heard a voice call out it sounded an awful lot like Roteki. I look around trying to find the voice while not being killed by a Beowolf. "WHERE?" I asked yelling out while shooting a Beowolf. "UP HERE!" She yelled I looked up to see her and Pérak who was sitting on one of Roteki's ice sculptures. Perak threw Emas at one of the Beowolfs and used it to pull himself to it, Roteki lowered herself to the ground and drew her Rapier that she named Gin after her other one was destroyed. All of a sudden the grimm started to run all over the place and ran off

"Well, that happened," Perak said while coming over to stand next to us. "Yeah, I wonder what spooked them?" Roteki asked while looking around. "Hey, where's your partner? Or better yet anyone from your team?" Perak asked looking around. "I wanted to meet with them." "Our team is in the middle of a disagreement. Shawn our leader is currently missing along with his partner Ami who helped start the argument although I highly doubt that they're together. Declan who is my partner kept the argument going and is also the reason why Ami ran off is who knows where. Does that answer your question?"  I said in one breath as we started to walk towards the gardens. "Well, that's not good," Roteki said solemnly while looking at a black rose and some snowdrops. "Yeah what argument could have been so insane that one of your members would run off?" Perak asked while raising an eyebrow. Oh, I wondered when this question would show up. Still not looking forward to it though. "Ami had asked what would be so important that Onacon Ritva and Gabrial would blow us off for. Declan told her that it was none of her business to ask, Ami then blew up since she had a lot of stress on her then Declan said something that made her runoff. And I don't think that she's coming back anytime soon." I said worried for Ami. "You're not telling us something are you?" Perak asked. Shoot he realized. "Perhaps not but it's not my place to say. And I'm not quite sure what happened." I said mumbling the last part. "Fair enough," Roteki said while Perak and her shared a look. "I don't like that look what's going on?" I asked scared of what they are about to tell me I hate to add to your already growing burden but we have reason to believe that there's a traitor in our group which is the main reason we wanted a fresh pair of eyes and we figured if we used the facade of the prophecy then the team would be safe." Perak told me. "So all along, the whole reason why our group might be split apart, why we couldn't have time together to get to know and trust each other. The reason why I can't have a somewhat normal year is because you thought someone was a spy?!?" I sobbed screamed while standing up "Ritsuko please hear us out." Roteki said trying to calm me down. "NO! I don't want to hear it right now." I said bringing a tiny bit of my maiden powers out as a threat warning. Perak tried to talk me down but I just ran. I didn't know where I was going I just knew that I needed to run. I collapsed in a field of daffodils and white chrysanthemums and started to cry. "I-I just I just want-ted a normal l-life is is th-that too much to ask?" I sobbed out wishing that the whole team was here in one piece, and we weren't too divided. Maybe it's all my fault that we can't get along I always seem to bring bad luck with me where ever I go. No, don't think that way. It's no one's fault that we can't get along we just have conflicting personalities right? But none of the other teams seem to have this problem. So maybe it's just us, that can't seem to get it together. I decided that it would probably be a good idea to leave before I attracted any more grimm since they already showed up once so they might do it again. As I was walking I saw so many teams and partners who were laughing, enjoying life, sparing, or studying. As if there wasn't anything that could pop this bubble of happiness. Even though there was a grimm attack everyone made it out ok there were a few scratches and marks but nothing that would hurt someone in the long run. I laughed at the thought as I continued on my walk like anything would keep this batch of students down, out of all of the students that I've seen in my life this year seems to be the best batch of determination. Speaking of determination the Vale festival is later today there was a lot of pressure to get it done in time especially with crime on the rise, hopefully, Ami will be back before the festival ends, so we can do at least one thing as a team. "RITTTSUUUKOOOO!" Someone yelled I think that was El. I was thrown to the ground by a black, pink, and green blur. "Ugg El get off." I groaned. "Oops sorry." She hopped off of me and then pulled me to my feet "It's fine now what was so important that you had to throw me to the floor again?" I asked while brushing myself of "Huh oh yeah that's right! We wanted to see if you would come to the Vale festive with us. Right guys?" El yelled then looking over her shoulder to see the rest of NEON's reaction apparently it was positive since she said. "YOU WILL RIGHT?" Oddly happy for someone whose school just got attacked by Beowolfs. "You don't have to." Nix said when I cut him off. "Sure. It's not like our team's doing anything right now." "YAY SEE NOVA I TOLD YOU SHE WOULD SAY YES." El screamed while pouncing onto Nova, "Yes El you did." Nova said while she had clung to him like a baby baboon.

Time skip to when they get to the Vale festival

"WOOOOO!" El whooped she started to pull Orion with her while she was yelling all about how we were going to find the best music shop in town. "You know you didn't have to come with us right?" Nixon asked while keeping an eye on El and Orion. More El than Orion but shush.  "Yes, but I would have spent the rest of the day worrying about Ami and Shawn." "What about Declan?" Nixon asked looking at me confused. I sighed "He's being an idiot right now and is refusing to talk to anyone unless they act like he's right and everyone else is wrong." I said as I watched El and Nova run off to find a pretzel stand while dragging Orion behind them. "I've had to deal with my fair share of idiots who've thought that way as well," Nixon told me but before I could ask further he said. "But for now let's keep in the present. El and Nova are running around trying to find a pretzel and they're dragging Orion around who looks like he would rather be fighting a pack of Deathstalkers without Snieh." He said while slightly laughing. His laughter was contagious because sooner than I would have expected of my self I started to laugh with him. "Thanks, I needed that," I told him after calming down from our laughing fit.  "Your welcome. Now let's go find Orion to save him from the Deathstalkers." "NIXON!" I yelled at him starting to laugh again. "What? It's true." He said while sniffling giggles. After a while of exploring, we found an oddly colored road. "Hey let's follow it!" El yelled excitedly "Of I don't know El it seems too much  of a coincident that we found it in the middle of the festival and no one else seems to be following it." Nova said looking around. I looked around to see that Nova was right in all honesty it seemed as if no one else even realized that it was here. "ELIZA WAIT!" Orion yelled it was the first time I've ever heard El's real name being called unless it was a teacher. When I looked up at her she was already ten feet ahead of us and she was running.  "WAIT UP!" We all yelled as we started to sprint to catch up to her. We had made it to the end of the path when we caught up with El. "When we get back you are so grounded. Do you understand?" Nixon said panting all though out it. "Agreed," Orion said out of breath, come to think about it we all were out of breath even though we shouldn't have been. "Whatever, Look," El said while pointing at a building that looked like a warehouse. "What are we looking at again?" Nova asked after a minute of staring. "We need to get closer," El said "I swear if this is one of your wild goose chases again," Orion murmured under his breath. "It's not I swear. I really did see something." El cried out mad that Orion would call her out on something like that. "Come on guys let's just do a quick scope while we're here then we can go and explore a little more," Nova said and after getting a nod of approval from Nixon, we moved to go look at the building. "Now all that's left is to find the missing fragments and capture them." A dark voice said. We all looked at each other trying to find out if anyone knew who that voice belonged to. "Lisen our inside agent is working on it. The old fool has some tight lips." Another voice said he walked into where we could just barely see him. He had brownish red hair and what was to our knowledge a white coat. "Our agent should be here soon." "Nicely done Tyver we knew we made the right chose to pick you." "Thank you sir I won't disappoint." "Of course you won't or else." "Guys we need to go. NOW" Nixon said while emphasizing the word now. He looked like he had seen a ghost in all honesty. "Agreed," El said we all ran out of the area as soon as it was remotely safe.

As soon as we got back to our dorms we split up. "Ok so if anyone asks we lost track of time at the festival and when we noticed we were far away from the main area. Plan." I say before I walk into my dorm. "Deal," The rest of NEON told me. "Wait I have a question what do about what really happened?" El asked everyone looked at her and said. "In the morning El." "Ok." I entered my dorm to the sounds of snores. I did a quick headcount to see that Shawn did return Declan was still here and Ami was still MIA. Great just great. It looks like Perka was right to worry.
