Ami's POV

I was running away from the warehouse trying not to be seen. Why do I do this it's not like anyone would really want to listen to me anyway. "That way I think I saw something!" I heard one of the goons yell. Great now I need to deal with that as well It couldn't get any worse could it. "I see her! This way!" Apparently, it can. I thought as I rounded a corner trying to find a window. I finally found one, I looked behind me trying to figure out if I could make it to the window and Beacon without being followed. I looked back towards the window and decided to risk it. At the very least I would be able to have a better chance of making it out. "Over here!" No time to think just go! I scolded myself, running to the window and vaulting out it. I barrel-rolled once I hit the ground and then the alarms when off. I ran to the tree line once I had stopped rolling, I hid behind an oak tree "I saw something over there!" I heard someone yell, I said a silent prayer and ran the opposite way that the voices were coming from. After running for a couple of hours I finally stopped in a field of mint, blackthorn, and bluebell, I lied on my back looking at the stars, trying to catch my breath before I had to keep running. Hopefully, I don't run into any death stalkers on my way back. I thought while picking myself back up and beginning the long trek back to Beacon, in the dark.

I felt the ground rumbling I looked around to see if I could see where it was coming from seeing nothing that could have triggered it I realized that it was an earthquake. Instantly I dropped to the ground and rolled so that I was in a bush just in case it was a Grimm and held on. Once it got really bad I looked up just to check and saw a herd of Beowolfs. "Whoa," I whispered, "I wonder what that was about?" I asked out loud. After I obviously didn't get an answer. I kept running trying to find a good place to sleep since I wouldn't be able to make it back before I passed out of exhaustion. I found a strong Fir tree that would keep me safe and hidden until I needed to leave. I climbed up and lied down. Not even a minute later I completely passed out from exhaustion.

I made it to the dogwood tree in the middle of the courtyard and climbed it. Thank goodness, I thought. I had been out of Beacon's reach for at least two days. I forgot what that felt like. But at least now I can sleep without too many worries. Once I woke up, I looked around trying to see if I knew any of the students that were wandering around. A lot of people suddenly came out of the building with food in their hands. I guess I can't tell the rest of the team and Headmaster Oozpin about what I heard last night. I thought while shifting my position in the tree. "Hello is anyone up there?" I heard a voice yell. Odd that sounded an awful lot like Declan. I thought climbing down just to a point that the person couldn't see me, and this time I made sure I didn't make any noise. I looked and low and behold there he was. "Declan?" I called out. He looked up and saw me once I waved. "AMI! Where have you been? You had us all worried!" He yelled at me. I guess now would be a good time to get down from the tree. Maybe I can tell him about Tyver and Anobaith. Or maybe he'll just laugh at me and call me a lier "Sorry for worrying everyone I needed to make sure that a few loose strings were tied," I said before I swung down into the opening next to him not really caring about the people who looked at me weirdly. Why did I say that I want him to trust me not distrust me any more than he already does! "So I guess I should find everyone and tell them that I'm back." I studdered out while looking downwards trying to not make eye contact with him. "WAIT!" Declan yelled at me while pulling at my arm to pull me back down. I looked at him oddly trying to figure out what he wanted to say. "Please. I-I wanted to apologize. I realize now that what I said was uncalled for. If something really was going on you would tell someone. And I hope you can forgive me." He told me I looked into his eyes and saw that he really was sorry and truly believed the words that came out of his mouth. "Thank you, Declan. But I really have to get going now." I told him and shrugged his handoff and ran off. After I got far enough away so he couldn't see me, and broke down. Why didn't I tell him?!? I yelled at myself mentally. No stop that, we can tell him and the rest of the team later all that we can do for now right now, is I need to find Oozpin and let him know. I thought looking around to make sure it was safe.
