CHAPTER 18

"Is this planned after all, Knight?" Madiin na tanong ni GV.

Knight take a sip before answering. "What do you think?" Tumayo siya at kinuha ang espada sa gilid.

"Come on, sit with me. I have story to tell." Ngiti nitong sabi ngunit walang nakinig sa kanya.

Kinuha niya ang baril sa likod at pinutukan si Sheila sa gilid na kinadaing nito sa sakit. Napasigaw sila at walang nagawa kung hindi ang sumunod.

"Good." Shantel glance at Sheila worriedly.

Dumadaing ito habang hinahawakan ang braso kung saan siya tinamaan. Her jaw clenched and glared at Knight who's comfortably sitting in the couch.

"Long time ago," he started and we don't have choice but to listen. "There was once a family, peacefully living in a beautiful palace. Parker family had two childs named Cyan and Knight. They are so happy and contented of what they had until one night..." His smiling face turned into emotionless one as his jaw clenched. "Their parents were killed with an unknown fucking reason. Knight and Cyan are so angry about it and investigate, not minding their age. And lucky them, they found out who it is," he pointed the closed door where the two of them are inside. "Cheska, my dearest sister..." He smiled again, "or not."

Nagulat kami ng pabagsak na bumukas ang pintuan at lumabas doon si Cheska na may dalang espada at si Romelette na tulala habang nakatingin sa hita niyang may dugo. Shantel noticed it, too.

"A-ate R-Romellete." Napaupo ito sa sahig at walang tigil na umaagos ang luha niya habang hawak ang Isang pabilog na dugo?

Nakatitig si Cheska kay Knight. Kapagkuwan ay ngumiti bago mahinang tumawa hanggang sa nauwi sa halakhak.

"And you really think I'm that dumb not to know that I'm your subject of revenge, my dear brother? Or should I say, Knight." Ngumisi siya pero sa kaloon-looban niya ay hindi niya matanggap na pati si Cyan ay kasabwat rin pala ni Knight.

"H-hon," matalim na tiningnan ni Cheska si Cyan na tumahimik.

Galit na tumayo si Knight at tinutok ang baril kay Cyan. "I thought we both agreed to this, Cyan? But why are you fucking approaching her?!" He ask angrily and pointed the gun to Cheska.

"Knight! No!" Galit na dinuro ni Knight si Cheska gamit ang baril.

"Because of your family! My family was fucking murdered in our own fucking palace!" He shouted at pinaputukan ng baril pero kaagad na nakaiwas si Cheska.

Galit siyang tiningnan ni Romelette na hanggang Ngayon at may dugo pa ang hita at nakaupo sa sahig. "And because of you! My baby died!" Napaluhod siya habang umiiyak.

"W-why? Kung kelan n-nabuo na natin siya, s-saka ka naman n-naging traydor!" She shouted.

He stiffened and look at her, wide eyes because of what he heard.

"W-what?" He asked, pain is visible in his eyes.

"H-he's gone. B-because of y-you! O-our baby is g-gone!" She cried.

Ang kaninang galit ni Knight ay mas lalong nadagdagan. He pointed the gun, directly to Cheska's head and pull the trigger.

"No! Hon!" Cheska closed her eyes as she feel someone's embracing her tightly.

"I love you, hon." Minulat niya ang mata at nakita ang nakangiting mukha ni Cyan sa harapan niya.

Nanlaki ang mata ni Cheska nang unti-unting bumagsak ang katawan ni Cyan sa sahig. Nanginginig ang labi niya habang hinawakan ang ulit nito at iginaya paupo sa kanyang hita.

"C-Cyan, no. Don't close your eyes, please." She sobbed as he caress her face.

"I didn't regret s-sacrificing myself, for the b-both of you." He whispered and kiss her hands weakly.

"I thank S-Shantel," he chuckled weakly. "because she m-made me r-realize and m-manipulated me u-using our baby."

"T-take care of our C-cronus, hon." Nakatulala siya sa lalaking nasa harapan niya na unti-unting nawawalan ng buhay.

Napaluhod si Knight at nakatitig sa kawalan dahil sa narinig. Because of his plans, his baby is gone and it’s all his fault. Masaganang tumulo ang luha sa kanilang mata habang si Cheska naman ay walang emosyon na nakatingin kay Knight habang nasa kandungan niya si Cyan at nakahawak sa kanyang tiyan nang muntik nitong patayin.

"You killed him, without any doubts in your fucking head." She said angrily as her tears continuously falling from her eyes.

"You didn't even know the whole story yet..." She sobbed. "y-yet you s-still planned it, k-kuya." She stared at Knight. "The reason why you're family was killed b-because they k-kidnapped me w-without the both of you k-knowing." She wiped her tears and look at him coldly. "Y-you really t-think my family w-won't kill yours if t-they didn't d-do h-horrible things to m-me?!" She shouted.

"I a-almost lost m-myself as pile o-of c-ciggaretes t-they puffed on m-my body every n-night," tinaas niya ang damit ang pinakita ang bakas ng malaking hiwa sa gilid ng bewang niya. "see this? I tried to escape from them but they caught and punished me..." She smile coldly. "for being a 'bad girl'."

Knight can't stop his tears from falling, hearing her explanation from the girl she loathed the most. Tumayo si Knight at dahan-dahang umatras sa kanila. Tumalim ang tingin ni Romelette sa kanya na bakas pa rin ang luha sa mata. He mouthed ‘I love you’ and kill himself, in front of everyone.

“i-I’m sorry.” He whispered.

Everything was blurred and two days past by, Romelettes mood is always changing but most of the time, she's always angry and pushed everyone who talk to her.

"Ate Romelette!" Hinimas ni Espe ang likod ni Romelette habang sumusuka ito ng tubig.

Dahan-dahan siyang pinaupo nito at kumuha ng tubig para ipainom sa kanya. Pagkatapos niyang uminom, nakatulala na naman siya habang hinihimas ang tiyan niyang walang laman.

"H-he's my everything," she whispered. "b-but he b-betrayed me like n-nothing happened to us." She sobbed and harshly wiped her tears.

Tumayo si Romelette ngunit kaagad ring napahawak sa dulo ng upuan bago nawalan ng mawalay. But before she could face the floor, Seth and Romel catched her.
