After our hugs and sob stories we all sat down to eat some fruit Alice had prepared. I was humming a song that randomly popped in my head while listening to Alice and Marcie talk about something. " . . . And then Kendrick climbed on top of the opening and started shooting them like they were annoying children!" she laughed and Marcie joined in. I looked at her with a smirk and she continued. Marcie tapped me on the shoulder after we were finished and getting ready for a little bit of sleep. "Hey are you alright?" she asked. I nodded and sat down. "Yeah, I think so. But . . ." I faded away. She sat down next to me and smirked, "Oh really?" she laughed. But I shrugged and lay down, too tired to say anything.

I woke up to small whispers and opened my eyes. Bruce and that Sam guy were talking; Michael and uncle Jonny were talking about something to. Alice was sleeping away and the James guy and Marcie seemed to be in an intense conversation. Lanie slept away. Even though she was annoying I really hope she makes it back to the Military Base. I stretched and I felt a hand grab me, I jumped and turned to Bruce. "Wow you sleep!" He said and grabbed a cracker from his bag. I held my hand out and he popped one in my hand. I smiled and started to crunch on it, "Hey, can't blame me for having a traumatizing moment back there and not sleep in." I said and looked over the edge. The Zombies seemed to have cleared out; some still lay around. "Eh, so tell me about . . ." he pointed at Marcie, "About . . ." I smirked, "She's 16 like me, has brown hair and blue eyes. Want a better description?" I said. Bruce gave me a glare, "Her personality would be nice to." He said. Handing me another cracker. "Well, she wants to be a writer. Excellent reader." I shrugged. "The rest you have to figure out yourself."

Bruce nodded. His eyes went back to Sam who was looking over the edge; a blank expression. "So, we better get going." I jumped to my feet and looked down the ladder that lead to the bottom. I watched for anything that might move. But nothing was, silence filled the air. "Ken!" Marcie walked over to me. "Do you really want to leave right now?" I nodded, and threw my leg over the edge. I started to descend down the ladder, I heard some sighs and then other feet fell down the ladder.

"Hey! Bet I could slide down on the side and land with an amazing flip!" Uncle Jonny snickered. "Don't be stupid." I reached the bottom, pulling my Pistol. Once everyone was on the bottom, guns at the ready, we moved towards the truck. I heard Marcie groan. "It's the dog again." I looked at her confused and almost jumped when a dog stood in front of me. It's unusually blue eyes trained on me. "Oh." The dog barked. Marcie walked forward. "What the hell is that?" The dog barked again.

"Okay, what's up?" Sam hissed at the dog. It was silent. "Okay . . . Everyone just keep going. . ." I stepped around it and kept walking. The dog started to follow me. "Well, I guess we can't really ditch it." Sam said, keeping an eye on the dog. "Why?" Michael asked. He has been quite, and so has everyone else. "Alright, come on. Let's just get going." I picked up my speed once we were exposed. I opened the truck door, and looked around. Ammunition was loaded behind the seats. "Whoa. . ." Jonny came up behind me. "Yeah. . . I got a little carried away." I pulled away and jumped in the back. Sam, James, Bruce, and Michael also sat back there. Marcie and Alice were helping Lanie get her gun put together. "Alright, get in. We're leaving." Lanie and Alice jumped in the front with Jonny. But Marcie got in the back with us. "What are you doing?" I asked, "This isn't just man's work." She sat down next to James and smiled at us.

We drove towards the Military Base for about another three hours. That's when we crashed into another problem. We arrived at the Military Base. But it was deserted. Only a few cars lay around. "Whoa." I heard all the worry in Bruce's voice. I searched for my dad's white limo car. My heart was racing as it was nowhere. "Okay! Everyone back to the truck!" Jonny yelled. He came out with a tablet looking thing. "Okay, according to this. All Military Base's are now located in California."

"What?" Bruce stressed the word. "Okay, looks like we have another five hour drive in front of us. . ." Jonny sighed. "Everyone back in the truck." Everyone pilled in, I knew everyone was disappointed. I definitely was. "Why do you think they moved everything there?" James asked. His pale skin seemed to be shimmering. That's when I knew I was going mad. "Because that's where the government is strongest." Sam said.

Bruce wrinkled his nose. "Well that's cool." All sarcasm in his voice. I shrugged, and curled up in the truck. Trying to sleep.

"This experiment is going nicely." A female voice said. "Hush! He could probably hear us." "Then put him in another dream."

I walk down empty hallways. Turning blindly around bends. Marcie's face came into view. "Kendrick! There right behind us!" She spun me around, and pushed me back down the hallways. I realized we were stumbling down a motel hallways. The two of us ran over to the Elevators. "We're trapped!" Marcie said, pain in her voice. I turned and saw from all ways Zombies rushed after us. The lights hummed alive over our heads. And the elevators binged open. We rushed in, and pressed random buttons. The door closed, and we plummet down, darkness consumed us. The silent Bing was heard, and the door opened. Armed guards stood outside the elevator, Marcie jumped out; pulling me with her. We were escorted out, tanks, guards, and other important people stood outside.

"ALRIGHT! STAND CLEAR!" We were shoved under some glass protection. BOOM! The whole building exploded; glass, bricks and even limbs blew everywhere.

"Kendrick!" Marcie yelled in my ear. I sat up, and realized we were parked outside a Wendy's place. "You okay?" I nodded, "Just a bad dream. . ."

Dear Marcie,

Well, well, well, what a surprise. . . I don't have a lot of things to say. But I'm glad we're back.
