Alice rested her head on Bruce’s shoulder, her sleeping figure still and calm. “So, got any one you like?” Bruce asked he’s been trying to talk to me for almost an hour now. “Bruce, if we both aren’t going to sleep then I thinks we should just be quite.” I snapped, and rested my head against the wall. We have been walking for three hours and Alice finally suggested that we sit down and try to sleep. She was out like a light, every time I tried sleeping though, I was awoken from a nightmare. I looked out at the woods surrounding us. Bruce fiddled with his watch and sighed loudly, “Get some sleep, I’ll keep watch.” Bruce sighed, and continued to fiddle with his watch. I nodded, my eyes already heavy, and fell asleep.

The nightmare was as vivid as he remembered. He was walking down the street in Hollywood, California. He had a gun resting on his shoulder, he was older and more stronger then he looked. Two girls walked behind him and so did two other guys. I think they’re looking for someone, or something. I made my dream self turn to see the girls, one of them was Alice. Her brown hair was shorter, and her green eyes dimed from her dark expression. The guy walking next to her was Bruce, he had cut his hair army style and his brown eyes brighter then he imagined. I looked at the other girl and I almost stopped breathing. It was Marcie, her hair was jet black and her blue eyes popped out more, she had a cut running down her arm. She had a somber face as she walked. I looked at the guy walking by her, he was built nice and had a crease between his eyebrows, like he was thinking of something. He had hair that went down to his ears and combed back, he had a pistol at his side and a sword in his hand.

I looked ahead; I held a shot gun and two daggers hung at my side, a sword in my hand. I smiled, and looked were we were walking; my step’s hesitated when I saw what was ahead. “Alright, we need to stop before they notice us.” They guy by Marcie said. I blinked and stared, his voice was lower than I imagined. “Yeah, Ken you alright?” Bruce said. I nodded, trying to remember what was happening. “Um, what are we doing again?” Dream me asked. Bruce rolled his eyes. “You already forgot didn’t you? Gosh your amnesia is getting worse every day!” he shouted. “Shut up Bruce.” The new guy said. “Yeah, listen to Sam for once.” Alice said, she pointed at the new guy. Sam, so that’s his name. “Pff, I listen to whoever I want, and that’s Ken, so commander what now?” Bruce asked, throwing all his sarcasm in the words. I opened my mouth, but then the scene shifted.

I was standing in a room, Marcie at my side, she had black dye and was combing it through her hair, she was talking, “. . . And it was just really weird, I mean, you and Alice?” she sighed, “I don’t know, maybe I’m just re-thinking this too much.” She said. “What?” I asked. I didn’t ask the question, Dream me did. “Marcie, you always over excaudate at things, plus if Sam and Bruce is dating why can’t I?” Dream me asked. Marcie shot me a glare, “Wake up you ass, before Bruce dies.” She said, and I sat up.  It took me a second to realize gun shot were going off.

Alice was tugging at my arm and I struggled to my feet, Bruce was firing at some Zombies that gotten to close. “BRUCE LET’S GO!” I yelled. He glanced back, and we were off, running down an endless sidewalk. We turned the corner, and saw Soldiers coming around. “Damn It!” Bruce grabbed my jacket and yanked me back and down an ally way. Alice was panting with fear. Her eye’s shone tears at the sides. “Hey, it’s okay.” I said, giving her a hug. She was shaking a bit, but she pushed me away after a while. “Come on, we need to find something. Maybe a four seated car things.” She mumbled. “Oh! I know where those are!” he said excitedly, and stumbled off, us at his heels.

We drove through the to-quite city. I was getting drowsy again and I never realized I fell asleep until the dream started. I was standing on top of a building; my heart was in my throat. I was about the same age as I am now. Except I was somewhere else, another guy stood by me, he had black hair that went to his neck, it was hanging around his face, so I couldn’t see him that well, he was watching someone. I looked over also, and saw Alice. She was cuddled up to a coat, and sound-asleep. Marcie lay next to her, she was awake and watching the stars. Bruce and Sam were holding hands as they slept. I was confused for a moment. “Kendrick, you alright?” I jumped by the guy standing next to me. “W-What?” I asked trying to force the words out, “I mean, who are you?” I asked. He laughed. “Ha ha, already trying to forget me.” He said, turning to face me.  He had sliver eyes and pale skin, different from all of us. “Sorry, I keep forgetting things.” I mumbled. He shook his head, “I’m James. The one Marcie adores.” He mocked. My cheeks heated a bit, and I glared at him. James laughed and pushed away from where he was and walked over to Marcie. She whispered something and he shrugged, settling next to her.

I awoke to us parked in front of a Home-Depo store. I was the only one and where there should have been no windows, there were. I glared at the sun, Bruce and Alice came out of the shop. She was laughing and Bruce had a big smile on his face.  I thought about my dreams for I minute, what was happening? Was I dreaming of the future? Did I find Marcie that fast? What the hell was up with Bruce and that Sam character? Bruce jumped in and Alice followed. “Morning sleep-head, like the new upgrades of this thing?” he asked, I noticed something. The four-seated four wheeler was on, and completely silent. “What the hell . . .” I faded off, “Yup! I got it from your dad’s idea! Everywhere you go it’s ‘oh! Did you hear about the silent car?’ I got to look at it and man! It was a beauty! The only problem was it needed gas. That attracts Zombies to. So I uninstalled that part somehow, and TU-DA!” he was talking so fast I didn’t understand a word he said, I nodded and waved my hand, “That’s great, let’s get going then . . .” I said, slurring my words a bit. He laughed, and started off.

We drove for hour’s, going in the direction Marcie went. Bruce suggested that we do exactly what she did, but that just got him some mean glares. He shrugged and laughed, “Just saying.” He said, and went quite. “Hey, you know how to drive?” Bruce asked out of nowhere. “Um, yeah.” I asked. Alice also nodded, “GREAT! I don’t always want to drive, that get boring after a while.” Bruce yelled, making me and Alice jump. He laughed, and we both laughed with him. “Bruce, thanks for coming along.” Alice said. And he smiled, “Well who wants to be stuck in that hell hole?”
