Elphaba just smacked the most respected man in Oz.

That's my girl!

"What was that for?" He asks. Glinda steps in. I grab Elphie's hand tighter.

"Don't you remember? You slapped her. She's just returning the favor," Glinda defends Elphie. Glinda and the Wizard are obviously a thing, "I would've done it myself if she didn't!"
Theodora looks quite pleased with what Elphie did. I guess most people here don't particularly like The Wizard.

"Who is she," the man asks gesturing to me plainly. No regards to me like that!

"Why do you care?!" I spit back. I just met this man and I don't like him already.

"Well, you are in my chamber, in my city......" he says, his words full of venom.

"Well, In my Oz, I'm the ruler," I walk closer to him, "Annnddd you're acting like your 13?" He stands in shock, "I'm 32 and I act like it! Guess what that means! That means that I am older than you. Sooo, you can get rid of that little attitude of yours, or I'll get rid of it for you!" I never was good with men.

"I'm sorry Glinda, should we leave? We seem to be causing too much trouble," Elphie suggests sarcastically.

"No!" Glinda puts her hand on my best friends shoulder, "We can work this out, but for right now, I'll let all three of you get changed," Glinda and I have something in common. Our coping mechanism is clothing.

"Thank you!" I say following Elphie and Theodora into a different room. The room is ice cold. Elphaba goes and closes the window making the room a little warmer.

"I'll get some clothes for myself and get changed," Elphie says walking into a room that looks like a closet and closing the door.

"She's not very nice is she?" Theodora asks. I shrug.

"No, she's just confused and overwhelmed, as am I," I state. She nods understanding our struggle.

"You're talking about me because you think I can't hear you, but I can," Elphie comes out of the closet wearing an everyday dress and is not green anymore. And her burn is healed. I guess I don't have to use my magic anymore.

"I would never talk trash about you, you know that!" I defend myself. Elphie rolls her eyes at me before sitting down by the window and watching the snow. I didn't realize that she has the Grimmerie. I was going to say something but a little voice speaks before me.

"Miss Elphaba, are you alright?" A little China girl asks from floor behind Elphie.

My best friend turns around with a smile, "Yes, I'm fine. Did you sleep well last night?" She holds out her hand and the little girl stands on Elphie's as she moves the girl to sit next to her on the window. The little China girl nods, "Well that's wonderful!" Elphie gets up with Little China girl in her hand.

"Where are you going Elphaba?" The girl asks. My friend puts the girl on her shoulder.

"Nowhere you're not going!" She smiles at the girl again, "I'm planning on going shopping. Would you like to join me?" The girl nods with delight, "Then let's go!" I gawk at Elphie. She's going shopping, and didn't invite me? She must be really upset.

"Yay!" The little girl squeals with delight as they walk out of the room. I want to follow but something tells me I shouldn't, so I stay.

"I'm sorry for what we put you through," Fiyero apologizes. I look him straight in the eyes.

"After two years, you would've thought I'd gotten over it," I shake my head with a tiny smile, "I never stopped loving you, Fiyero," I state. I notice that Theodora has gone into the closet. She must've gone there when I was listening to Elphaba.

"I know. But I can't leave Elphie, it would break her heart. She would hate both of us more than she already does," He explains. I nod, understanding.

"Yeah, we can talk about this later," I say as Glinda walks in. I do admire her, but she's so much better than me. I see how much she cares for Elphaba and Theodora.

You could say that I envy Glinda.

But I'll never say that. Because I don't.

"Elphaba said she's taking Little China Girl shopping for a new dress, she so thoughtful that way," she's talking to The Wizard. Fiyero grabs my hand and holds it. I'm glad he feels the same way that I feel about him.

"May I take you to your rooms?" Glinda holds her wand in her hands timidly, as if she is nervous about having guests. I nod and smile as I stand up with Fiyero. Glinda looks at our hands but doesn't say anything. I hope she doesn't tell Elphie.

She escorts us to our rooms that are right next to each other, "Each room has the proper stock of clothes for you two," she states, opening both doors. I go in mine and Fiyero goes in his. The room is very fancy and neat.

"Wow....." I say to myself and go to the window, I see Elphaba and Little China Girl walking through the square, my best friend still has the Grimmerie. She holds it to her side like a purse. Why take it with her? But...

Elphie knows how to hold a purse. This girl is full of surprises!

"She wanted me to tell you that she heard you," I didn't realize Glinda hadn't left yet. I turn around with wide eyes.

"Oh, no." Is all I can manage.
