I run up to Elphie, who is in tears, "Elphaba! What happened?" Her broom is completely destroyed and skin is as green as the grass surrounding the road. The dark morning is accenting her deep pain.

My best friend stands up, her eyes full of hatred. For whom? I have no clue.

"We should keep going," Elphie says venom pouring from her words. I grab her arms and force her to look at me.

"We are not moving an inch until you tell me what-" I get caught off guard by a large flame being hurled towards me.

Elphaba pushes me out of the way immediately , "THAT'S IT! DID YOU EVEN UNDERSTAND WHAT I SAID? I WILL KILL YOU!" Elphaba screams into a clearing in the woods. She was severely burned by the fire, her blood boiling on her skin.

"Elphie you're hurt, calm down," I soothe her. Tears build up in her eyes as she turns to look at me. The hatred has been replaced by regret.

"H-he could've h-hurt you!" Elphaba pulls me into a hug. I hug her back, careful not to touch her scorched arm. Concerned about my safety, Elphie runs into the woods with the remains of her broom.

"Elphaba! Come back!" My cries do nothing, "Glinda, you should go with her. To make sure that she is ok," I suggest. Glinda rushes in after Elphie and I'm left with Theodora, Fiyero and Chistery.

Not the best company I've ever had. But it'll do.
"Are you two related?" Theodora asks. I shake my head, "Then why is she so protective over you?" I don't really know the answer to that question. Well, without the long story, that is.

"We are best friends," I state matter-of-factly. Chistery flies over to me, crawls up my dress, and into my arms. The little monkey is so adorable, I fell in love with him the moment I saw his dainty face. I scratch behind his ears, just the way he likes it.

"Where did you come from, who are you?" Theodora questions, gesturing to my ginormous ball gown. I am quite amused. She is so curious.

"How rude of me! I haven't introduced myself!" I say in fake surprise. I curtsie, "Galinda the Good, ruler of Oz," I say Galinda instead of Glinda, so the stranger doesn't get confused.
"If you're the ruler of Oz, who is ruling it right now?" Fiyero asks. I genuinely don't care. But I should answer him anyway.

"Boq, probably. That tin man will be the downfall of Oz. He almost blew up the Emerald City a couple times just as my assistant," I chuckle. It's funny but true.

"That's not funny Galinda, people are going to be upset about your disappearance!" Fiyero argues. But I still don't care.

"Fiyero, I don't care where I am as long as I'm with you guys," I reply.

"People can get in trouble without someone to look after them," Fiyero states. He just wants to argue with me!

"But who's there to look after me, Fiyero?! I look out for all of Oz! I give speeches! I fly out in my bubble every year to celebrate my best friend's death! I hover hundreds of feet above the ground almost every day. Don't think that I didn't wish I would fall, be relieved from my pain! I wanted to be with my Elphie, the only person who cared for my lonely soul!" I'm pissed off. I turn away from him. Stupid scarecrow. If he wants to be a jerk, I can throw it right back at him!

"For someone who doesn't have a brain, you sure need to learn how to keep your smart mouth shut!"
