Y/n greeted the birds excitedly, bringing her basket that was filled with freshly baked cookies. It was one of those days that she was free from the suffocating duties of a nobel.
She smiled widely when she saw the blue lake glistening from the sun's light.
Its indeed a good day, is what she thought. She plopped down under the tree on the grassy land near the lake, using her dress as her rug.
She hummed softly watching the ducks floating on the water.
"Your highness! Where are you?" Y/n's peace was shattered when she heard a voice. She looked at the wall just near her and her eyes widened in shock when a tall young boy jumped from the high wall. Their eyes met and the boy landed on his butt, complaining.
Y/n immediately stood up and and went to accompany the boy.
"A-are you okay?" She asked lending a hand. The boy looked at her and then stared at her hand before sighing heavily, standing up and walking passed the girl.
"Your highness! Please come out now! Your teacher is waiting for you!" The voice was heard again except it's closer now. You were about to speak but the boy immediately went back to you to cover your mouth. He signaled you to be quiet and you both wait until its quiet again.
He let go of you plopping on the grass that you were on earlier.
Y/n stared at the boy puzzled.
"A-are you?" His eyes went to meet y/n's eyes again and that was enough for her to finally recognize the young boy.
"Greetings to the 7th prince of the Hypen Empire, please pardon me for not recognizing the prince and acting disrespectfully. I acted recklessly." Y/n immediately bowed and asked for forgiveness not daring to look at the boy's eyes again.
Niki's mouth formed a smirk from amusement. He chuckled a little before gesturing the girl to look up at him. Once again the girl met with a pair or orbs that resembles the eyes of a leopard. The eyes that made her realize who she was talking to.
"It's fine. What's this?" Her eyes went to the direction where niki was pointing at landing at the basket she brought. She watched niki's hand take one of her cookies bringing it to his mouth.
"That was mine." She said in a low voice pouting.
"Ah really? It's good." Niki said after swallowing. Y/n pursed her lips and shaked her head.
"It's okay I can share." She said to herself ,calming herself down not realizing the she was speaking out loud.
"Then please don't mind me as I was here first." She sat next to him as niki's eyes continued watching her.
"What's your name?" Niki asked softly even though he already knows the girl, and quite too well actually.
"Ah right. I'm Y/n from the household of l/n, your highness. Your fiancee." Y/n gave the prince a small smile before looking at the lake again.
"It's nice to meet the guy im gonna marry for the first time and before the grand ball at that! Atleast I'm aware of how you look now." Niki watched the girl giggled. A smile formed in his lips.
He used to hate the thought of marriage but after getting to know Y/n a little, he's starting to think that maybe it wasn't so bad after all.
