"What the hell are you doing here jake?" You angrily spoke in a whisper, crawling to get closer to jake.
"Y/n I can't take it. I'll lose my mind if they hurt you more than this." Tears formed in Jake's eyes, his heart hurting to see his lover all miserable. You closed your eyes tightly, your heart breaking to see the man cry.
You reached for his face trying to soothe the crying boy, your other hand touching the metal bar of the cell you were thrown into.
Right now, you are on the middle of waiting for your execution. You were sentenced to death by hanging a perfect ending for a villainess that brought a good part of the empire to its ruin.
Jake reached for your hand that was touching his face, gently rubbing it.
"Shh, I'll be okay jake. We'll be okay." Jake nodded trying hard to suppress himself from breaking down.
"You can't stay here any longer, if they see you in this state they would think that you betrayed the empire. I can't drag you with me." You said calmly.
"I don't want to. I want to be with you y/n. I wouldn't know what to do if I end up losing you." You smiled at the prince, in hopes that it will help him calm down.
"Jake, I'm not the only women in this empire. There's still someone out there that will love you more than I do. You can build your own family after this." Jake shooked his head.
"No. I don't want someone else. I only want you. Please, I can't, I'll rather die than part with you." Tears formed in your eyes,hearing your lover's words.
If only you didn't took his hand back on the ball, if only you didn't let him in inside of your world. Then jake shouldn't have to feel all this pain and this conversation shouldn't be happening now. If only you didn't meet the boy.
Jake saw the look on your face and pain crossed his eyes.
"You're regretting meeting me aren't you?" Your eyes widened and your tears started to fall.
Did you regret it? The answer was,
"No. Jake of course not, you're the best thing that happened to me." He was the man who showed you what love is. He made you realize so many things and you will be forever thankful for that.
"Then run away with me." You took your hands away from him, thinking that he was crazy.
"What are you talking about? Jake do you even realize what you are giving up?! You're not just any person jake. You're the 3rd prince! The empire needs you! Your people needs you. Don't give up on your life just for a girl like me, a girl who brought her people down." You started to sob,your hands trying to cover your mouth. Everyone thought of you as the villainess but the truth is, you're a women who loves her empire and someone who was willing to do anything to protect it's people.
But your people who you served your whole life turned their backs on you when you made one simple mistake, resulting of you getting framed by your own people, gaining the title of the empire's villainess.
When jake saw you cry he immediately took his sword out.
Your tears stopped falling when parts of the metal bars fell on the floor. You looked at jake who was now putting his sword back on his scabbard, indicating that he was the one who cutted through the metals.
He walked to you and he carried you. You were still processing what he have done as he proceed to bury his face on your neck, hugging you tightly.
"Let me be selfish just for once, y/n. You are all that I need. Not the authority and especially not the damn title of a prince." He whispered caressing the girl's cheek.
"Be selfish with me, baby. Escape this empire with me."

Okay! This is the last of the royalty au. But it doesn't mean that I will stop writing in this kind of genre. It's my favorite genre after all hehe. I might make a continuation of jay since 'Fallen' is short compared to the others and that is because I was originally planning on making all of them short, but I got carried away so it was longer than expected.
