"Your highness, the princess is here." The maid announed your presence. Jungwon sighed heavily and looked at the door, revealing y/n in her usual emotionless facade.
Y/n was known to be the prettiest of all, having a cold beauty resembling the winter and being the only daughter of the archduke whose authority cannot be questioned.
She is the princess every other girls wanted to be. She has it all, beauty, money and power but there's one thing that she lacks, and that is showing emotions. She's very bad at it.
As she got her beauty from the archduchess, it seemed like she got her hard time of showing emotions from the archduke.
And that was one thing that kept irritating the 6th prince, yang jungwon.
Y/n is his fiancee but he really doesn't get it, how words of flattery always comes out from her pretty mouth while still holding an emotionless face. It made it seem like she doesn't really mean it.
"Your highness, good day." Y/n gave the boy a smile but her eyes remained with no emotions.
"What's so good about having books shove in your face?" Jungwon said in a low voice with furrowed brows holding a thick book in his hands.
"Oh my. Are you sulking?" Jungwon looked at the girl with disbelief, his ears turning red.
"W-what?! No im not." Jungwon hid his face behind the books avoiding y/n's cold stare.
"Then would you like to escape the palace with me?" Jungwon turned his head to look at the princess who's now sitting beside him.
"Escape the palace?" Y/n nodded.
"I know a way. It's the last day of the festival today, it would be a shame to miss it. Do you want to go?" Y/n said challenging the boy. She knew how responsible jungwon was, always obeying the rules, so she thought it would be fun to drag the prince with her.
"Can we really do that?" Jungwon asked worried, battling if he should go with you or just stay on the palace reading boring books.
"Of course we can, bend the rules with me, my dear prince." An amused smile formed in y/n's lips. Jungwon pursed his lips trying to figure the girl out. Y/n is well respected and also known for high class elegance and ethiques, she is the perfect princess but what people doesn't know is that she can be very mischievous from time to time, she enjoyed breaking the rules and getting away from them, she has a twisted way of gaining amusement and joy.
"Fine. Only for today." Jungwon said pouting making the girl chuckle.
"What's this?" Jungwon excitedly looked at the goods that the stalls have to offer. Y/n watch the boy get curious about almost everything, she shrugged it off, it was the first time the prince came out to really look around the festival anyway.
"Slow down jungwon, your ripping my arms." Y/n said in a mono tone voice. Jungwon is holding her hand dragging her around because he said that he can't afford to lose her in the ocean of many people.
"Oh sorry." Jungwon slowed down and his eyes darted at a stall that was selling jewelry. Y/n noticed and she tilted her head to the side.
"What? Do you want to me to buy you one?" She asked, jungwon blushed and shaked his head.
"What?! No way! I have money of my own anyway!" Y/n ignored him and took the bracelet giving money to the seller.
"What are you a tsundere? And you don't have money on you right now stupid." She tooked jungwon's hand and she putted the bracelet on his wrist.
"There you go. It suits your handsome face." Jungwon blushed at the girl's sudden compliment and his free hand immediately went to cover his blushing cheeks.
"Seriously, why are you like this." Y/n fixed her hold on jungwon's hand as she led the walk to a near mountain.
"What are we doing here? Where are we?" Jungwon asked looking around, there was no one there and it was dark. She watched y/n sit on the grass which he also followed sitting beside her.
"A good place to watch the fireworks." And as if it was a que the fireworks started to cover the dark sky. Jungwon watched the beautiful scene at awe but his eyes darted at something that's much more beautiful.
He watched your eyes sparkle reflecting the beautiful fireworks. A genuine smile forming on your lips. He suddenly went deaf, only the sound of his heart racing was all he can hear.
He admired your beauty as he told himself.
No matter how hard it is to read your face, I'm willing to wait until the day that I can fully understand you.
Jungwon knows well that no matter what he says, he really can't deny the fact that's he's starting to really fall inlove with you.
