Silence Will Fall When the Question is Asked

Part Two: The Doctor

I drove to school, thinking about school and how I was going to be late. This was a great way to start off a Monday. I hate Mondays.

I was taking a turn, close to the school when I saw a man to my left, he looked about twenty four, with his arms crossed, leaning against the stop post. He was staring straight at me, almost into the depths of my soul. I tried not to stare back, but I couldn't help it. He was attractive.

He had brown hair, styled in a very classy sort of way. He had a light brown jacket, on top of suspenders holding up his black pants. He was slender, had broad shoulders, and surprisingly, along with the collar of his white casual shirt, was a red, almost scarlet, bow tie. Despite how different it was, I had to admit, it was attractive.

Suddenly out of nowhere, a car horn honked very loudly behind me. I jumped a mile, realizing the light was green. I stomped on the gas pedal and sped to my left towards the school.

I realized goosebumps were all over my arms and legs. As I arrived in the school parking lot, I saw something big and silver halfway hidden behind the giant trash can. I got out of the car, yanking the keys out of the ignition. I grabbed my book bag out of the passenger seat, and closed the door, bumping my head in the process.

"Ouch," I mumbled under my breath, rubbing my head. There was sudden rustling by the trash can. I looked and noticed the silver thing was gone.

I tried to shake off the sudden creepy feeling I had gotten. Where had it gone? I pressed the lock button on my car twice, letting the car horn beep.

All of the sudden a robotic voice blared behind me, "YOU WILL BE DELETED!"

I screamed, and turned around. The silver thing that was behind the trash can was apparently a giant, robot man. I screamed again, trying to run away. I stumbled backwards and fell on my back, still struggling to operate my body to run away.

RUN! My mind was screaming at me. HURRY UP AND RUN!!

I was panting, trying to stand up. I was struggling horribly, especially since I had landed in a puddle.

The robot man was moving towards me, its arm outstretched and what seemed like lightning was at the tip of his finger.

"YOU WILL BE DELETED!"

All of the sudden, out of nowhere to my right, there was a sound, a sound I couldn't describe. Out of nowhere, a blue box started to appear out of nowhere, fading in and out. After a few seconds it finally seemed to become solid.

The door opened and the handsome man I had seen earlier opened the door, and directed to me.

"Quickly! Come inside, QUICKLY!"

I jumped up immediately, running as fast as I could to the man. I jumped into his blue box. He walked outside and held out some sort of pen-like device. He pressed a button, and a whirring noise and a green light appeared out of the device. He pointed it at the robot man and in a few seconds the robot shut down.

He turned to me, his face with a smirk, looking like he had won. I stared at him from inside the blue box and he walked in, closing the door behind him.

"So, we haven't had a proper introduction have we?" He said in a very attractive British accent. He gave me a smile as I stared up him, still on the ground. My butt was wet from landing in the puddle.

He looked down at me, raising his eyebrows and giving me a smile.

"Hello, I'm the Doctor."
