"This can't be the end!" I wailed, watching as the Cybermen were starting to corner the Doctor and me. I looked up towards him. "Right?"
He looked down at me. "I don't know what to do now!"
I winced as I turned back towards the Cybermen, who were now closing in. Each passing second was a reminder that I was getting closer and closer to my death.
Anger suddenly started to surge through my veins, adrenaline pumping hard in my heart. No, I wasn't going to die today, or anytime.
I took a step forward, and the Doctor grabbed my arm. "What are you doing?!" He cried in his very attractive British accent.
I looked back at him. "Something we should've done a long time ago."
His eyes bored straight into mine, and I saw in his eyes his respect for me had grown much larger since we had first a met a few hours ago. I gave him a small smile, and gently took my arm out of his grasp.
I turned towards the Cybermen, who were now very close. I knew someone was behind their screens, controlling every single movement they were making at this moment. Again, the anger surged horribly throughout my veins. Who was this evil person, who was it that wanted to kill us for no reason?
I gritted my teeth, and with the most vile and venomous look I could have ever used on anyone in my life, I stared into the closest Cyberman's eyes. I knew the person controlling them was watching, waiting to see what I would do.
"Listen," I spat through my clenched teeth. "I know you're behind there, and if you know what's best for you, you'd make all of your stupid little robots turn around and leave us alone."
I stared with narrowed eyes into the Cyberman. Silence was all I could hear, and the robots had stopped moving.
I didn't let my stare wither or crumble. I was too angry. Even though deep inside I was just a teensy bit afraid (okay, REALLY afraid), I wasn't about to let it show.
Miraculously, the Cybermen slowly turned around and walked away. I didn't stop staring until they had turned the corners and disappeared from sight.
Finally, I crumbled, exhaling a huge breath I never knew I was holding. I turned towards the Doctor, whose eyes were filled with...pride? But whatever it was, I knew it was something good.
I smiled the biggest smile anyone could have ever done and he returned it. We both just stared at each other, before I came closer to him, squealing in pride for myself. He grabbed my shoulders, and like little kids, we both squealed, shaking our heads side to side and jumping up and down.
We finally matured and stopped, and we stood there, his hands still on my shoulders. We were still smiling huge smiles.
"I can't believe you did that!" He cried, his smile never faltering. His bright, olive green eyes were shining with pride, and his thin, pink lips were curved in a huge smile, showing his straight white teeth. His dimple was showing, and I couldn't help but melt. He was pretty attractive.
He stared into my eyes, wondering if I was going to say anything. I felt a blush creep onto my cheeks. I was a little too young for him.
I tried to forget about my thoughts and I smiled wider. "Well, it was our last shot. I knew someone wanted something from us, but..." I paused, now frowning and putting my hand on my chin.
"...what do we have that they want?"
He slowly took his hands off my shoulders, staring down at the floor. I observed his face. What was with the sudden change in attitude?
"Are you okay...?"
"I'm great!" He yelled, making me jump a mile. "Never been better!"
I couldn't help but still wonder what was wrong with him. Was it something I said?
"We need to get back to the TARDIS," he said, his eyes now determined. I nodded. "Let's go!'
We were just about to turn around when a deep, gruff voice whispered in my ear, "Gotcha."
I gasped, and I felt myself being gripped strongly.
I knew I was trapped.
