I woke up, my vision blurry and my neck in pain. I brought my head up, my hair all over my face. My mouth was dry, but my skin was much cooler than it was before.
I groaned, remembering how I had gotten here. Bits of memories flashed in my brain, and then I remembered.
The Doctor.
I tried to get up, then realized that my arms were chained against a chair. My legs were free, but trying to move them was useless. They were still recovering.
I looked around frantically, searching for the brown coat and scarlet bow tie. Then I realized he was behind me! He was chained to a chair, with a lock against his hands.
"Doctor!" I whispered loudly, and he woke up.
"What's going on?" He whispered. His voice was raspy, and he cleared it, making his voice go back to normal.
"I think we've just been captured!" I whispered/screamed. This was not good.
"What are we going to do, Doctor?" I asked, slightly panicked. I really wanted to get out of here.
"Um, okay don't panic, but I think if I can get my sonic screwdriver out of my pocket, I might be able to turn off the security cameras and unlock the chains." He started to jump around, his chair making a loud screeching noise.
"What are you doing?!" I whispered/shouted again. "Jumping around like a buffoon isn't going to get us anywhere!!"
"Well, I'm TRYING to get out!!" He yelled. I rolled my eyes.
"This is the right way to get out," I replied. I sucked in, making sure my stomach was as flat as possible. Then I slowly sunk out of my chair, leaving the chains still locked and around the back of the flimsy chair.
"See?" I announced smugly. "I'm free!" Full of pride, I walked over to where the Doctor was trapped. "Is there anything you'd like to say to me, Doctor?" I said with a smug smile.
"Yeah," he said, looking up at me. "Can you get my sonic screwdriver out of my coat pocket?"
I rolled my eyes and knelt down, stumbling a little since my legs were still recovering. I put my hand inside his coat pocket, and felt for his sonic screwdriver thing or whatever.
I finally felt it and pulled it out. It was long, and it felt heavy and cool in my hand. I stared at it, feeling it thoroughly with my fingers. A little green bulb was at the end of the sonic screwdriver, and around it was four metal, tiny arms, just big enough to slightly cover the tiny green bulb. The handle was a light, cream colored yellow, and the rest of it was a mixture of black and light, wood brown. Two buttons were a bit above the handle, and at the very tip of the sonic screwdriver, under the handle, was a red button, covered by a clipping piece. I was in awe. I had never seen anything like this.
"Are you going to get me out?" The Doctor interrupted my thoughts. I nodded vigorously.
"Yeah, sorry," I mumbled. I examined it for a bit, then sheepishly asked, "Which button am I supposed to press?"
"The little, top black one, above the handle," he replied.
I pressed it and the green light showed, and the whirring noise I had heard during my first encounter with the Cyberman sounded.
"Point it at the lock," he commanded. I crept behind him, where the lock was placed around his wrists. Cautiously, I pointed the sonic screwdriver at the lock and pressed the button. In a matter of seconds, the lock clicked itself unlocked.
My mouth hung open. I have never seen anything like this. How did he get this?
As he freed himself, I observed the sonic screwdriver again. I was starting to love the feeling of it in my hand. The way it seemed to fit perfectly...
