You began to hang out more with Tommy and Quackity. You enjoyed their recklessness and their dumb small arguments and jokes. You hung out with Karl too, but he always seemed to be busy so when he finally got a break from all of it, you let him rest. You couldn't help but feel disappointed when he was away, but all you could do was cherish the moments where you went on walks together or make a small picnic
One afternoon Quackity left you to babysit Tommy all on your own, and after you had chased him down because he had stolen two stacks of Iron nuggets that you were planning on making into Lanterns (Y/N has a small obsessions with lanterns, if you didn't notice), you were both staring at the sky watching as a occasional group of white and fluffy clouds crossed from east to west.
"Tubbos being too passive." Tommy said suddenly. "What do you mean?" You asked sitting up. Tommy sat up and hugged his knees as he ripped grass with his free hand, "I mean he's not doing anything with L'manburg politically. There's no drama, no nothing!" You frowned, "Isn't that a good thing? Everything's pretty nice and peaceful at the moment, there's no need to ruin it."
"Ugh, don't be boring. A bit of spice never hurt anyone." Tommy said roughly. "Didn't you just go through a whole war at least 3 times? Tommy, a war right now, or spice, is going to hurt a lot of people, especially Tubbo. He's trying to run a country while figuring out his own life."
Tommy stood up, "Boring." His thick British accent covered each vowel of the word. "Hey where are you going?" you asked but Tommy didn't hear you. He was already walking away.
"Oh Notch, if he keeps on acting like that he's gonna get killed." you muttered under your breath.

The next day you were walking through L'manburg to visit Tubbo.
You saw him in the center of the country and waved at him but he didn't notice, he was too busy reading something on a new billboard. You came over to look at it.
Tommy. What did you do?
You read through his messy writing. He wanted all of these things banned? You turned around and saw Tommy grinning from ear to ear as others surrounded the sign and read it. "Tommy, take down that sign. NOW." you hissed as you saw Tubbo frown and try to read the next row of demands. "No. And you can't make me." He sneered back, mocking your non-british accent.
Tubbo looked away from the sign and through the small crowd, found Tommy.
You tuned out from their argument, but you knew what they would be fighting about.
Tommy wanted Tubbo to change some rules in L'manburg, and Tubbo didn't want to change anything to restrict anyone's freedoms.
Tommy walked away fuming and Tubbo stared after him before turning himself. They both walked in opposite directions, never once looking back.
And with that you saw small cracks in their friendship begin to form. Tommy was tearing down his life, slowly corroding it and ruining it.
Like rust on a sword.

"Hey (Y/N)! Look here!" You heard Tommy's loud voice as you looked up from your book. Tommy stood next to a tall and lean person. As they got closer you saw their strange skin and eyes, but by now you weren't all that shocked by that. It was that he was wearing a suit and tie, but it hung on him a bit awkwardly. "Meet Ranboo! He's half enderman half.. something!" You glared at Tommy before giving a polite wave and Ranboo. His green and red eyes softened at your kindness and he gave a small wave back.
You went to follow them around just in case Tommy was going to do another half planned stupid act and get in trouble.
You didn't pay attention to the conversation as you watched small birds fly around and the smoke from a few houses near the edge of L'manburg rise from the chimneys.
All of a sudden you overheard Tommy's loud outburst, "Let's burn down George's house!" Ranboo seemed to stutter and dislike the idea.
"What the hell? Tommy no! He worked his ass off on that house and so for 'fun' you want to burn it down?" You said in disgust. George was still a really good friend of yours though you didn't hang out as much. He would send you small gifts of extra iron or gold whenever you seemed to need it and in return you would give him small pies and baked goods.
"Oh come on, my plan is flawless and we can blame... I don't know, Nihachu! Come with us (Y/N) please?" Tommy said with a grin.
You wouldn't though. You stormed off after scolding Tommy but your words fell on deaf ears. All you could do was pray and hope he would reconsider.

"Tommy you dumb little shit." you muttered as you saw angry flames and black smoke rise from the remains of George's house.
You walked into L'manburg looking for Tommy but then saw a strange sight. A man in a green hoodie and a white mask with a smiley face drawn on with a black marker was building an obsidian wall around the edge of L'manburg.
Though you had never met him, and conversation of him was scarce, you knew who he was.
Dream.
Tommy hated his guts and at the chance wouldn't hesitate to blow up everything he had, so whenever he spoke of Dream it was always from a very biased and disgusted view. He didn't look that intimidating as you thought he would. From a distance you could see Dream talking with Tubbo and a few others before they all walked off.
Welp Tommy's dead for sure, do you wanna go hang out with Karl (Y/N)?
OR you could find Tommy and help him escape Dream's wrath cause Tommy burnt down his boyfri- I mean his 'friends' house.
...
lol, boyfr-
FRIEND.
You clicked your tongue and instead followed after Tubbo's group. As you neared them you heard bits of their conversation.
"Tommy... Burnt down... Griefing... Stole items... Exile..." You walked up next to Quackity who was following them too and gave a small wave. He nodded back, "Hey I don't think now is a good time to be in L'manburg."
You gave him a confused look, "Why? I'm not afraid of Dream-"
He gave you a stern look, different from his usual teasing and playfulness. "This doesn't concern you (Y/N), why don't you go hang out with Karl or something?"
Look, even Quackity agrees with me! Go hang out with Karl (Y/N)
You scowled as Quackity gave you an apologetic look and continued walking with Tubbo and the others.
What was the worst that Dream could do to you?
