A/N: Early Christmas gift for yall :D
I know that I didn't upload, and together, let us take the middle finger, turn it towards school, and say f-ck you.
but its not even the schoolwork, it's the goddamn annoying kids, and my annoying personality making me overthink literally anything.
But that's for my therapist to hear.
There wasn't even time to find a good hiding spot, it felt like a twisted game of hide and seek.
You grabbed Karl's hand and led him into another room quickly. You pressed yourself against the wall with him, as if you could melt into it.
Let's be real though, you didn't give a shit if you were standing in the corner of a fancy bedroom with Karl's back hitting the wall behind him, and your bodies pressed against each other, staring into each other's eyes with fear. You cared about staying alive.
Well, maybe part of you did.
You accidentally stepped over on his feet in the rush of panic, and your head fell into the crook (almost spelt cock-) of his neck.
He smelled sweet, like cinnamon buns out of the oven, or sweet spice cooking away in the oven. You stayed there too long, definitely making it awkward. You were going to move yourself when his hands found their way to your waist and your back, pulling you closer to him.
You weren't blushing.
Why would you be blushing? Right now you were in a life or death situation, you had no reason to be blushing-
His hands gripped around you closer. You felt his breath pass by your ear, shaky.
You were blushing.
You expected yourself to hear the sounds of screaming, of a person screaming bloody murder as their body would be torn into bits and pieces.
"Who's the murderer?" Karl whispered.
"It's.. Lyaria. Why would she kill Drew though? I mean she had a distaste for him because he was a poor half naked dude. I mean, who wouldn't? But why would she murder him? This doesn't make any sense." You muttered back to him.
"I.. I actually saw a vent where she crawled into right before the lights went out. Was this all planned? Maybe an escape hatch that failed? But if the lights went out again, then that means she's gonna kill us all before she finally escapes. We're gonna die here" Karl whispered pessimistically.
"Not if we get the others to band together and possibly stop her!" You said encouragingly,
"I'm not going to let you die here, I promise you."
You both quieted down as you heard a sharp shriek and then silence. The thumps of a desperate victim trying to run away echoed underneath you, and the fact that they didn't bother even screaming told you how scared they were. And how they knew they were doomed.
That victim could be you, soon enough.
You swallowed, but were only able to swallow the dry air, and it felt like you swallowed small blades and they ripped down your throat.
"What the-" Karl said as his head accidentally bumped into a part of the wall, and it opened to reveal a secret passageway.
"That's... weird." You muttered and your mind jumped to Sir Billiam. Why would he have a secret passage in a huge mansion like this? Like, I get that secret things are cool, but why a wet hallway leading to a bedroom-
Wait.
anyways...
You and Karl shared a look, and though it was hard to see the features of his face in the dark, his brown eyes met yours and you could see the hopeful sparkle in them.
