Sohyun was at the yard with water hose in her grip. She was watering the plants on that evening. She glanced at Daehyun who was laying on the roof with his arms as his pillow under his head. He was staring at the clear blue sky.
"It must be nice to be ghost" she voiced. "You can just loiter around and go to places all you want"
She moved to another plant and watered it. Once again she looked up to him. "Daehyun?" He was not at the roof anymore.
"Boo!"
Sohyun rolled her eyes and turned to her side. Daehyun already bent down to her so she met his scary eyes. "Yah, you think ghost really scare people by saying that?" she snickered. "Come on it's the 21st century. Ghost should say something more swag to scare people. No one is scared of that word anymore"
"I'm not a ghost. Well, not a true ghost. Just a lost soul" he shrugged. "Maybe I should tell the other ghost about that"
"You can't even face the other ghost, yet you want to tell them that? Remember the other day at the hospital? Who come running in panic to me just because he met an army of ghosts?" "I was just shocked. That's all" he pouted. Both of them suddenly paused as the image of Daehyun saw Sohyun changing clothes the other day at the hospital came into their minds.
Sohyun coughed and went to another plant quite far from him. *Why did I say that? My gosh, Sohyun!* There was a tick-tock silent. She looked around to look for Daehyun only to find him sitting on the wall, staring at the sky. He smiled alone.
"Are you enjoying it?" she asked. "Enjoy what?" "Your free time. Because your group had been busy lately" "Tell me about it. I think there's good in my misfortune after all. I can rest and enjoy the surrounding once again instead of in the practise room all day long" he glanced at her. "I'm jealous of you. You can still breathe in the fresh air. For me, I'm not sure if I can ever do so in the future"
"Yah, you're still breathing" "Yea but the hospital air with all the medicine smell" his smile turned wry. "Plus, you know what I mean. Like I can't feel the air entering here" he patted on his chest. "And feel the coolness filled my chest. Such a pity" his smile was melancholic.
"I'm sure we can meet again in your physical being"
He stared at her without her notice. "How can you be so positive?"
"Because I'm tired of being negative for a long time?" she shrugged. "I'm trying to look for the stars in the dark. You should try look for the rainbow when it rains too, Daehyun"
"Rainbow" he once again turned to the sky that have shades of orange in it. "Believe that everything will work out somehow. It just the matter of time" she continued to water the plants.
"Hey, where are your oppa and omma? Isn't it weekend?" Daehyun asked. "Oppa and omma have to handle something at work. And later they'll have to attend an annual dinner. They'll be home late" she answered. "You must be bored. Despite having a family, you always left alone here at home. You must be very thankful that I'm around to accompany you" he smiled proudly. "You're so full of yourself!" Sohyun smirked. "Well, I can't lie that I do feel lonely. But all of us can't help with it"
"You have the house to yourself. If I were you, I would put on song really loud that can be heard around the house" "I do that often. That way I feel less lonely. But today, I just don't feel like doing so. I just want to enjoy the surrounding sound. The birds chirping, the wind whistle" "And listen to me" "Nah you're not included in the list" she chuckled. "You talk a lot, Daehyun. You'll disturb the nature song at its finest"
