Sohyun turned around to realise the reporters swarmed around her.
"How your condition?" "Is it true that you won't participate in the game anymore?" "So Minhyuk will train another athlete?" "How do you feel about winning the championship and it being your last game?" "Can you tell us anything about the kidnap case?"
Sohyun cleared her throat and plastered a smile.
"The surgery went well but unfortunately I couldn't play anymore. But that didn't dispirit me though archery is my life since I was little. I'll continue my life as ordinary school girl here in this school. I'm grateful that I able to win the championship but being it the last, I think I'm satisfy with my achievement. And about the kidnap case, I think my brother had talk about this that is related to the company. For my side, during being held hostage, the kidnapper did plan to burn me alive. And I was afraid. But someone is there and helped me being calm and try to escape" she smiled at the thought of Daehyun.
"So you mean you're kidnapped with someone else?"
"No" she chuckled. "I mean someone here" she pointed to her heart.
"Is it someone special?" "Since you recently close to B.A.P member, is it someone from that band?"
"What? No. We're just close friends. They help me a lot during my hard times. About this special person, of course it's my omma and oppa. They gave me courage all the time"
She caught someone waved from the corner of her eyes. Sohyun glanced. Minhyuk was waving her over. Sohyun smiled and turned to the reporters again. "Thank you for coming and sorry for causing any inconvenience" she bowed and walked away from the reporters.
"Hey" Minhyuk pushed himself off his car, arms still crossed up to his chest. "Hyung" Sohyun smiled. "I see you don't need to run away from the reporters anymore" he jerked his head to the reporters who started to dismiss. "Well, I learnt how to manage things on my own. At least handling the reporters" she smiled. "Shall we go now?"
Minhyuk nodded and they entered the car.
"Is it really okay for you to come for a lunch with me? Aren't you tired being all day at school?" he asked as he drove. "Nah I'm totally fine. I don't do much today" she replied. "Woah so this is how it feels like to be 'normal' like everyone else. Not having to go training" "Normal? Tsk. No one is normal in this world. Everyone is unique. Even you. You're special. Remember that" "I know, hyung. But I'm being a full time high school girl instead of part time high school girl, part time national athlete. It's kind of make me feel blend in with others"
The car parked and the two entered an English-styled restaurant. After took their place and ordered the meals, Sohyun looked around the restaurant. The interior design really mesmerised that she could felt the warm vibe of an English house. She looked to Minhyuk only to find him had his phone camera towards her.
"Awh, hyung" Sohyun covered her face. "You really like to take picture while I'm not ready"
Minhyuk laughed and kept his phone away. "Don't worry. I'm just reporting to Doojoon that I'm with you now. Hey, you sure it's your treat right?"
"Of course. I promised the other day after the game, right? It just that, many things happened" her smile was sad. "So fast"
"You sure is right I wonder how you can stay calm when everything happens to you almost all at once. Great job, Sohyun" he lifted a thumb up with a grin on his face. He smiled at him.
"Hyung, since I can't play anymore, will you keep your words?" she asked. "Me?" "Yup. You promised that you'll train other new athlete" "Ah that" he leaned back. He threw his view out the window. At a moment, he seems to lost in his own thought but he turned to her again. "Can't I just quit?"
"No! Hyung, you said-" "But you're the best so far. I've never train anyone else other than you" "And that's who you going to make. Train someone new to be the best like me. Or even better than me"
He turned out the window again. "Well" he took out his phone. "I did receive calls from the ministry though. I already have someone interested in me"
"That's great!" "Maybe I'll try to look into these new talents" he smiled. "Yea. That's my coach. And I know you'll train them into the best, just like how you did to me"
He stared at her smiling face for a while. Minhyuk chuckled. "Alright. I can't stop doing what I like right?" She nodded in agreement and leaned back into her seat. This time it was her time to stare out the window beside them.
*This one persistent kid* Minhyuk smiled to himself.
They finished their meal. "You sure you don't me to take you home?" Minhyuk asked. "I want to walk around a bit more. Then I'll head home" she answered. Sohyun waved him goodbye as she watched him drove away. Sohyun walked the row of shops. Her steps halted. She was looking up to the store in front of her. "This pastry place"
-Flashback-
"That place is really famous for their pastry. I promise I'll take you there when you wake up" "When I wake up" Daehyun snickered. "I wonder when will that be"
"Even if it takes a thousand years, I'll wait for you"
They met eyes. She looked away, totally embarrassed. "I mean I'll still bring you there one day. I promise"
-End of flashback-
Sohyun smiled to herself. "I need to make sure I bring him here one day. Hurry get up, Daehyun"
Her phone rang. It was Junhong. She answered it.
"Junh-" "Daehyun hyung is awake! Sunbae, come quick!"
