Daehyun looked to Sohyun who was sitting at the passenger seat beside Minhyuk in the car. She was staring into blank space. Minhyuk stole a glance at her.
"Sohyun-ah" he called. "It's okay. Maybe because it had been a while since you're in the hospital"
-Flashback (a few hours ago)-
Sohyun released the bow. Daehyun and Minhyuk watched as the arrow embedded down to the ground instead of the target board. Daehyun's eyes went to Sohyun's right hand, the hand she used to pull the arrow. It was trembling.
-End of flashback-
"Maybe you just need more practise" Minhyuk continued. Sohyun didn't reply to him. He sighed. "Sohyun-ah" Daehyun called but he was ignored too.
"Maybe it's time you train other athlete, Minhyuk hyung" she suddenly voiced, still staring out the window. "Yah, what do you mean?" Minhyuk replied. "I still have to train you. I'm your coach after all"
"I don't think I can" she looked down to her hand. "Do this anymore"
"No. I'll still train you like always and you have to come to practise every day. We can fix this" "How can we fix all of this? Even the doctor said my shoulder is not going to cooperate anymore. It will only get worse!" "No! It's your passion. You shouldn't give up. I won't let you!" "Passion" she rephrased it. "It is my passion. I really love archery. Since I was little"
"Then you have no reason to give up" "But maybe it was fated that I can't have something that I love. Or even someone" her mind recalled her late father's face. "Ever"
"Yah, Sohyun! No! We going to train tomorrow too. I'm not giving up on you. I'll try everything I can to make you do archery again"
Daehyun stared at Minhyuk. *This hyung wants to protect the things Sohyun love*
"But if I still can't? What will you do?" she asked. Minhyuk glanced at her who was looking at him, waiting for answer.
"Damn it! Sohyun, don't push him anymore, will ya?!" Daehyun voiced but she ignored him.
Minhyuk sighed. "I'll train new archery athletes, just like you suggest"
Sohyun was in her room that night. Daehyun stared at her. Sohyun stood before the shelves. Various trophies and plague from different games arranged there. She stared at it in silence.
*She is unusually silent tonight. It's weird seeing her like this* he thought.
"Sohyun" Daehyun called. She turned to him. "You have school tomorrow" "Ah, yea. Thanks for reminding" she glanced to the clock and it was almost midnight. Sohyun walked to the light switch and Daehyun already laid on the carpet. "You should use the quilt at least. I can bring them for you" she voiced. "No it's okay. Maybe because I'm half cat, I like that carpet more" he smiled sheepishly. "And it makes no different it I sleep on the quilt or the carpet. I couldn't feel anything"
"Alright, suit yourself" she shrugged it off and turned off the light. Sohyun got into her bed. She pulled the cover onto her. "Good night"
"Good night" Daehyun turned to face her. Sohyun turned to the other side. He sighed and turned to face the ceiling. Minutes passed. Daehyun turned to face Sohyun again. "Sohyun-ah" he called. "You're not asleep yet?"
Sohyun turned to face him. "No"
"Have a hard time sleeping?" "Yup" "Wait" he rolled beside her. Sohyun laughed. "Woah I always finds you funny doing that"
