I may or may not have forgotten that Barty Crouch died in Goblet of fire but honestly wtf is canon at this point?

Audrey quit her job. She didn't care anymore. She was tired of this constant torture. So, she quit her job. She could always find a new one, she wasn't that bad right? She easily got a job at the ministry, she could get a job anywhere.

As winter started to leave and spring arrived, Audrey felt happier. Maybe it was the weather, maybe it was the fact that she didn't owe the ministry anything, she wasn't beating herself up about this work related thing.

But Audrey didn't have work, she didn't have money coming in. She was living off of what she had saved but she knew that if she wanted to live independently, she would need a new one.

She had spent the past week just trying to figure out what she wanted to do but there was nothing. She felt uninspired.

Audrey turned to the one person who had spent all of Audrey's Hogwarts life mentoring and helping her.

Audrey reached The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmead and immediately found the woman in a large hat sitting there. She walked up to her, "Professor"

"Ms. Haynes"

"Thank you for meeting with me, I know how busy you are"

"Oh darling, don't worry about it!" Professor Sprout sat down and motioned Audrey to sit down in front of her.

"I won't take too much of your time" Audrey told her. She started explaining to professor Sprout her career issues and how she felt so out of place at the ministry, maybe it wasn't the best job for her. "I wanted to come to you because you helped me figure this out before"

Sprout was happy that Audrey could trust her but she wasn't sure how to help. Luckily she had done a lot of career counselling before. She whipped her wand and a piece of parchment and quill appeared before her, "Let's figure this out," she smiled.

Sprout asked Audrey different questions and tallied up her answers to come to a conclusion.
"The best path for you might be teaching" she told her, "I see your preferences have changed since the last time we did it, when you were studying at Hogwarts"

"I'm not sure.."

"I think teaching would be great for you!" she said, "Though there is nothing available at Hogwarts, especially with the ministry's interference" She meant to say Umbridge.

"Thank you so much for your help, I'll think about it and let you know"

Audrey was busy writing to different job opportunities she found. She had been doing the same since the past few days but getting nothing back from it. She wasn't sure if leaving her job was a good idea anymore.

An owl flew in through her window and placed a letter down for her. It was from Professor Sprout. Audrey dropped her quill on the table, letting it leak some ink on it, and opened the letter hurriedly.

There are openings for Apparation teacher and testers, I know it isn't an ideal job but this is a good  job till you find one you really like.
I will be happy to put in a good word for you, you have potential.
I believe in you

Percy was back at the ministry, he didn't know how his family was, how his friends were. He just felt so alone. Audrey had stopped coming to the ministry, he had noticed that. He wondered why but never asked. Unfortunately she hadn't picked up any hints he had dropped when they last met and now she was gone. He was hoping she was okay, that nothing had happened to her.

Percy knew how to tell the difference between a death eater and a genuine person. The ministry, though, apparently didn't. He came across multiple death eaters in a day, not one who were once death eaters, ones who were waiting to get back at it. The ministry was infested by them and as usual Fudge wasn't going to do anything about it.

Percy feared the rise of Voldemort, he feared him taking over the ministry. He knew that a time would come when it would either be Dumbledore or Voldemort, and Percy didn't want to choose either. He wanted to choose Harry, that's it, not the Harry who trusted Dumbledore with his soul, Harry who knew what he was doing without depending on Dumbledore.

I feel like Percy was gone for too long. He left in the fifth book and came back in the 7th. Where was he in book 6? He surely wasn't a death eater 100% ....but then what was he doing?
