The drive home intoxicatedly quite and the faint smell of blood lingered in my nose.
"Cassidy are you hurt?"
"Just a scratch, my palms are cut from the glass."
I felt Zayn's hand on my knee, squeezing it reassuringly. I took short breaths, deterring my mind from the obvious smell of blood radiating off my best friend.
When we got to my house I quickly opened the door and ran to the steps, going into my room and devouring my 4th bag of blood of the day.
"Is she okay?" I heard Cassidy ask Zayn downstairs.
"Yea she's fine. C'mon, we have to bandage you up."
Everything was still for a few seconds until I heard Zayn say, "Cassidy I think we've established the fact that I'm not going to hurt you."
"Sorry..." Cassidy mumbled. A slow smile spread across my face as I heard my best friend slowly accepting my boyfriend as an acquaintance.
I ran down the steps a little faster than intended and walked in to Zayn wrapping a gauze around Cassidy's hand, covering the smell.
Cassidy's eyes snapped to me, she squinted them, as if inspecting me.
"Damn Nani what the fu-, are you wearing makeup?"
Fucking shit.
"N-no why?"
I looked to Zayn, his eyebrows raised.
"Dude you're like, glowing. I don't know there's just something about you. It's weird but a good weird. A really good weird."
"Oh, um thanks." I said with a small smile.
I leaned on the counter and Cassidy looked down, as if anticipating my question.
"Cassidy what happened at your grandparents house?"
She looked up and opened her mouth to say something and then quickly closed it.
"I got home from work and as soon as I walked through the door, I felt something weird. I immediately started walking around the house, you know like opening doors and going through rooms to make sure everything was okay. I didn't think we got robbed or anything because everything was put into place, but I felt this weird aura in the air. It made me anxious and jittery. When I walked back downstairs there was this woman sitting on the couch. She had blond hair and really blue eyes. But there was something about her, something off. It wasn't just her aura but the way she was looking at me, her smile was... sick. Like it was scary."
No.
"She got up and introduced herself and told me her name was-"
"Cinna." I finished for her.
"Yea. Wait, you know her?"
"Unfortunately." Me and Zayn both said in unison.
"When I shook her hand, I immediately knew she was a vampire. I also knew she didn't have good intentions. She started saying weird things, like she was friends with you and Zayn and that things were going to start changing. She tried attacking me but I stopped her before she could. I was so angry and all I wanted to do was hurt her, so I blew up. Everything got so out of control and she left. She left but I knew she was weak because I hurt her pretty bad. When I noticed she was gone I tried stopping it but it just kept getting worse. Everything was everywhere and when it was all over, I didn't know what to do so I just called you."
"What game is she playing?" Zayn mumbled.
"She's not going to stop until we're dead." I said.
"Why is she doing this?" Cassidy asked.
