Music To My Ears

"Kite! I'm back~!" You called out, welcoming yourself into his home.

"Ah, welcome back! You're here a little later than usual." Kite greeted you as you waltzed into his kitchen.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I got caught up in a long conversation at the Association about future targets for me. We definitely talked for more than the twenty minutes I thought we would." You explained with a sigh, going into his fridge to pour yourself a glass of filtered water.

"Mmm, that's good. Did anything else interesting happen while you were out?" He asked, coming up behind you.

"I saw Ging. I almost put my foot up his ass on my way out." You chuckled, sipping at your water. "I get where he's coming from, but I'll be damned if I don't remind him of what a garbage father figure he is. I swear I'll adopt Gon myself at this rate."

Kite laughed, his arms snaking around your torso as he hugged you from behind. "That sounds just like you _______. Life is getting quite interesting now isn't it?" He hummed.

"It is indeed. I'm allowed to bring you on my longer commissions by the way. They know how I get when I'm away from you for too long by now." You smiled.

"I like the sound of that. I'd love to see you in action in your line of work." He said.

As he hugged you, Kite trailed his hands up your sides involuntarily as he rested his chin on top of your head, simply happy to have you home in his arms. FOr you though, the sensation of his fingers gently brushing up your sides made you squeak, suppressing a giggle as you twitched away from his touch a little.

"K-Kite! Knock it off!" You scolded.

"Hmm? What do you mean?" He asked, genuinely confused.

"You know damn well what you're doing you fool." You told him.

"I'm caressing my lovely girlfriend, so I don't know what you... oh. OH. Are you... Ticklish?" He realized, a mischievous smirk spreading on his face.

"No shit sherlock! I'm gonna spill my drink if you keep that up!" You chastised.

Kite then simply plucked the cup from your hand and placed it on the counter, pulling you back against his chest.

"That shouldn't be a problem now." He stated.

"K-Kite!"

You weren't expecting him to be so playful all of a sudden, his usual calm and collected nature disappearing and being replaced with his current carefree one. With you locked in his arms he teasingly danced his fingers along your sides, making you burst out in a fit of laughter. His long and slender fingers wiggled their way into every sensitive dip and curve you had from your ribs down to your hips, making you a flustered giggling mess as you squirmed in an attempt to escape his grasp. There was no escaping his nimble hands though as he trailed feather light touches along your now exposed tummy as he held you firmly against his body, so you did the only thing you could think to do: back up.

Pushing against him you tried to back him up to make an escape, but he simply moved with you without ceasing his tickling. There was some success to your plan in a way though. You pushed him back far enough to make it to the living room, and when the tile turned to carpet, your feet caught and both of you tripped, sending you both toppling to the floor. You were both sprawled out on the carpet next to each other for a moment before Kite rolled himself on top of you, straddling your hips as his loose silver locks fell around your heaving chest. His hat had fallen off to the side, allowing you to stare deeply into his umber irises that glinted playfully as he hovered over you.

"W-what on earth has gotten into you Kite!" You panted, lightly smacking his chest.

"Sorry~. Your laughter is like music to my ears, and I missed you dearly today." He hummed. "You're so cute when all you can do is giggle at my mercy~"

He gave you one more playful jab in your side, making you yelp.

"S-shut up!"

Without further thought you reached up and dragged him down by his shirt into a kiss, silencing his teasing. He didn't mind though, readjusting himself to accommodate the kiss. He switched from his ticklish pokes to gentle caresses, his hands practically all over you as he nipped playfully at your bottom lip, earning different kinds of sounds from you this time around. Whatever had gotten into him, you liked it a lot. You could get used to having his hands all over you more often. Eventually he pulled back to look down at you with a devious little smirk, earning a huff from you as you smiled back at him.

"You're an asshole, but you're my asshole. Damn your hands." You mumbled, very much flustered as you laid beneath him.

"I love you hun~" He hummed.

"I love you too. I can't even be mad at you dammit. You always make me smile." You said.

Pleased with himself, Kite then stood and picked you up from the floor, giving you one more big kiss before setting you down again. "That's my job, love."

"You'd better watch out. I'll get payback on you one day you scoundrel." You told him.

"Hmm, we'll see about that." He chuckled.

In the moment, you reached over and poked him firmly in his side, earning a muffled grunt from him as he sharply inhaled. You raised a brow at this, documenting his reaction with a smirk of your own before bending down to pick up his hat from the floor and place it on your head.

"We will see indeed." You mused, wandering back into the kitchen to finish your water.

"Oh dear..." He sighed, a smile tugging at the corners of his lips as he followed behind you to pour himself a glass.

He'd have to watch out for you now.
