Brant did this because he loved Jolie, and I can't fault him for doing this, I'd end the world if it meant saving my loved ones.

"Hey sis, sorry I haven't visited in a while, I haven't been myself and didn't have the courage to do anything. But I'm back, not fully, but I'm here." Sophie Foster placed pretty stones by Jolie and Brant's wanderlings. Stones were eternal—flowers were not. "If you're seeing me and wondering why I've placed down rocks, it's because I've been interested in a certain book series. I'm going to sit down by you, you can read with me if you like."
As she sat herself down against her sister, she felt the most at peace with herself then she had in years—more so than being with Keefe. When she opened the book she read the contents, Chapter I: Wyrdmarks, Chapter II: Wyrdkeys, Chapter III: Valg, Chapter IV: Fae, Chapter V: How to Use, Chapter VI: Significant Users, Chapter VII: Evil and Good, Chapter VIII: Wyrd History, Chapter IX: Wyrd Gates, Chapter X: Other Worlds.
Wyrdmarks: An ancient runic language used to perform magic and cast spells, usually cast using blood. Wyrdkeys: Used to open the Wyrd Gates. Valg: A race of powerful and malicious demons. Fae: A mythical being or legendary creature from folklores. How to Use: Wyrdmarks must be drawn on a surface, be it flesh or otherwise, or chanted, provided the user knows their name. Their effect can be altered or ended by changing or erasing the marks or until the spell has run its course. When activated, Wyrdmarks may glow a bright turquoise/blue, or faint green. Significant Users: Maeve, Queen of the Valg, deceased. Aelin, Queen of Terrasen, alive. Nehemiah, Princess of Eyllwe, deceased. Amren, unknown, assumed deceased. Evil and Good: Though it's used for evil, it is a neutral magic that can be used for good.
Wyrd History: Precious little is known about the origin of Wyrdmarks, other than that they are an incredibly old form of magic, more powerful even than the Wyrdkeys. Ancient texts detailing the use of all Wyrdmarks do exist, on both the Southern Continent and the Northern Continent, but no clear origin has been revealed. Wyrd Gates: The Wyrdgate is a "black area" cut through the Wyrd, the foundation of Erilea and all worlds in the megaverse. It is capable of opening portals into different worlds, or destroying them altogether. The Wyrdgates open randomly, or with the use of the Wyrdkeys. Other Worlds: —it's gone.
"What?! How can it just be gone." She moves the book around trying to see what happened. Upon seeing jagged lines in the very back of the book, she figures out they were ripped out. "You've got to be kidding me! Who would do this to such an interesting book!" She rolled the heel of her palm down her face and sighed. Making a move to stand up her body moves to a different angle and she sees them.
A black hooded figure sitting in Brant's wanderling, Sophie freezes wondering if she can be stealthy enough to move away without him hearing her. "You can stop trying to see if I know you've noticed me," the person with the deep low voice snaps his head towards her, "Because I noticed you first." Sophie sucks in a breath, she starts backing away slowly.
"How ironic to see you here though, reading a book without a care nonetheless. Your goblin bodyguard would be so disappointed with you." Her eyes widen, "What—," he laughs, "Relax, we haven't touched him—or anyone." Sophie looks at the figure sceptically. "Again relax, the only reason I'm here is to visit a friend." She looked over Brant's wanderling and suddenly felt a bit of sympathy.
"Ugh, don't get all sappy, Blondie. It's not worth it—don't give me that look, I'm an empath—not that you should know that." He started stuttering something to quiet for her to hear, she wondered if his hood came off his face would be blushing red. She tried to knock it off with telekinesis, but it was as if the hood was glued to his head. "If you wanted to see my face, you could have just asked."
