"Ready to go?" Conor bellowed up the stairs as I pulled my suitcase out my room. Of course Conor wouldnt turn down a trip to England. Since I've walked in from training he has been so excited, like a child.

The flight wasnt too bad, 45 minutes. I've never been to the north of England before. Only visited London a few times. Of course my mother was at the arrival lounge all excited to see is. "My baby!!!" She screamed as she wrapped her arms round me. "Wheres Conor?" I panicked "here" he pushed through the crowd and my mum ran up to him squeezing him as well. My father greeted us a lot calmer than my mother did "I've missed you scruff! You're mum hasnt stopped worrying about you!" He rolled his eyes playfully "when will she learn I'm a grown adult?" We both laughed.

"New wheels?" My dad looked proud of him self "perks of the new company" the drive took a lot longer than I thought. The cottage was beautiful, it was In a little village about 10 miles outside Manchester. My dad and Conor took our bags Inside as my mum took me for a tour round the house. The house wasnt huge but it was big enough for my them.

"Were going to grab some food down at the pub later" my mum paused "theres a cute little pub down the road" I nodded as we both sat down with a good old cup of tea. We talked about my mums job and my rugby. "I cant wait until you finish playing and finally settle down" my mum started with her usual speech.

"Conor would make a good husband and father, I wish youd two just forget this best friend thing" she rolled her eyes "your father and I started as best friends, during school I promised myself I would never be more than best friend" she smiled to herself "and now look at us, we have you and now this house" I couldnt help but smile at how happy she was but my stomach flipped.

"Ready for dinner?" My dad barged into the room with Conor right behind him. "Yeah" my mum jumped up off the couch and grabbed mine and Conors coats. "This place is so nice I can't wait to show you" my mum started "tell you now the guiness isn't half bad" my dad laughed, mainly with Conor. Their bond was unreal, it was better than my relationship with my dad.

We walked through the village, it was a traditional village so all the traditional village shops you would think of it had. There were barely any cars around either, it was very quiet. We hadnt even walked for 10 minutes and we stopped outside a very old fashioned looking building. "This is it" my mother looked. It didnt look pretty from the outside.

I walked in behind everyone else and my parents started greeting people. It's like everyone knew each other here. They started introducing us to one family "my son be here in a minute, you'll finally get to meet him" I dazed into my own little world, as my father kept talking to some man. "Well, luckily I think this tables free" my dad laughed and pointed to the table right next to the family. I couldnt help but roll my eyes.

I took my seat before everyone else did "hungry?" Conor sat next to me "something like that" I half heartedly laughed. My dad took his seat but continue to talk to the other bloke. "What do you want to drink? I'll get this round" of course my dad and Conor ordered a guiness and both me and mum had cokes.

Conor followed me to the bar "I'll get these dont be silly" he pulled out his wallet "no I'm getting them" I pushed his hands away from the bar and insisted I paid. He narrowed his eyes at me. "Murray?" A loud voice broke his stare "curry? What you doing here?" They greeted each other in a weird hug "I should be asking you that! You're on my ground now" they both laughed. By this time most of the people were staring at them.

"You remember Erin?" Conor grinned, I smiled, i couldnt help but recognise his face from somewhere. "The girl that cant handle a drink, yes I remember" the pair of them couldnt stop laughing. "Erin's parents recently moved here" Conor pointed to the table. "Right next to my old man" this curry guy laughed.

"What you having anyway? I'll get you one, I think you need it after that loss" "shut it you, we played well" I suddenly remembered where I knew his face from. "Tom stop making such a racket and join us" his father looked stern. "Well no doubt our tables will merge soon anyway" Tom joined his family.

"You remember Tom?" I nodded slowly, not really, a very vague memory of him. Conor carried the drinks on a tray over to the table. The waiter came not long after "Conor Murray?" Conor looked up from his menu "yeah?" He was so casual about it "this guys been going on about his Son Conor playing rugby, I didnt expect to see you here" my heart sank, forget about his daughter playing rugby. "Yeah that's me" he laughed awkwardly.

The food was amazing, once we finished eating, my dad insisted on merging the two tables together considering we all knew each other. "Fancy coming to the game tomorrow Erin?" Somehow I was in between Tom and Conor. "Yeah why not?" I smiled "whose playing?" Conor interrupted. "Sharks vs Saracens" "As long as you wipe that smirk off Farrells face" they both laughed.

Farrell? My heart sank "you bet I will! He hates when he plays us, like I love the bloke hes a great captain, but I always enjoy beating Saracens" they continued to laugh and I was stuck between these too.

I squeezed past Conor and headed straight to the bathroom. My stomach was doing flips. I couldnt hold back the sick feeling and immediately emptied my stomach in to the toilet. Classy or what?

I cant face Owen again.
