Park Yuri, indeed a beauty with brains. A strong minded woman who doesn't fear to speak out her mind. She groomed herself in a way that none of those misogynistic or unwanted hate comments affected her. The girl was well-known for her confidence and professional business aura that surrounded her.
She along with her brother Jisung strutted entering the company with a stoic expression on their face. The employees bowed as the the CEO and CO-CEO entered the building. Despite being younger in age, the siblings gained immense respect from the employees for their qualities and their capabilities.
It always left them in awe how the youngsters were able to manage the business. Keeping the reputation of being the 2nd greatest corporation is not easy. Especially, when you are new and young person in the business world. There are people waiting and watching for your downfall or to destroy you, just like a shark waiting for his prey, ready to attack.
Just as Jisung and Yuri entered their office, they heaved a sigh. "That, was tough," Jisung said as he got comfortable in a swivel chair. "Poor kids, you don't have to pretend you know," Mr.Kim, Yuri's secretary spoke up.
Mr. Kim was the most trusted employee of the corporation. He worked for the former CEO from the start. He saw Yuri and Jisung grow into what they are today and he was extremely proud of them.
"We cant be soft. Can't let people see us as a weakness Mr.Kim. Besides, its cool to stay that way, you know to look cold. I don't want to disrupt the discipline by being soft." Yuri retorted as she skimmed through some files. The secretary nodded his head.
"Anyway, what's my schedule for today?" Yuri asked. The older man opened the tab in his hand as he read the schedule. "You have a meeting with the team leaders at 1 pm and then a contract renewal meeting with the Zhong's at 3pm, Mr. Jisung is needed there too."
The siblings nodded their heads in acknowledgement. "Okay then, I'll let you know if there's anything Mr.Kim, thankyou!" the CEO said as she dismissed her secretary. "Jwi, you're staying here or heading to your cabin?" she asked.
"Naah, I'm heading to my cabin. Gotta get the key points to be discussed today with the Zhong's." Jisung replied, taking his leave. "See you at the meeting," Yuri said before diverting her attention back to the file. "Yes ma'am!" the younger replied, while saluting.
Time passed away. Yuri was so engrossed in the paper work that the girl did not even hear the knocks on her door. The person finally took it upon himself and entered the office. "Ms.Park, it's 12:50 pm right now. You have a meeting with the team leaders at 1 pm." Mr.Kim informed.
"Oh yes, I'll be there. Thankyou Mr.Kim." Yuri replied. The elder bowed and took an exit.
"I should get going now!" Yuri mumbled as she checked her watch. She walked through the corridors and made her way to the conference hall.
As she entered the conference room, she was greeted with bows from the team leaders. She gestured them to settle down. "So shall we start? I hope I have every department over here." Yuri said as she went through the file that was present in front of her.
"Ok so here I have Marketing department, R&D, Accounting and finance, Public relations, Creative department, HR, Operations, Strategics, General Management, Purchase and sales department." Yuri read out the names.
"Moving on, let's start with monthly reports of the departments." Yuri said. One by one every TL submitted and explained the report. Yuri gave out some positive criticism and also some recommendations regarding their performances.
The meeting came to an end in an hour. "We'll end this meeting here now. Also I need updates of each department regarding the new project in the next meeting. So I hope you the keep the information very detailed. Thank you, you all can take a leave now," Yuri said and slumped back in her chair.
She took a deep breath and closed her eyes for a minute. "Ms.Park, it's 2pm right now. You have a meeting with the Zhong's at 3pm." Mr.Kim informed. Yuri heaved a sigh and replied "Yes Mr.Kim."
The young CEO then made her way to her office. As she settled down, she picked up her phone and contacted Jisung. "Hey, did you have your lunch?" "Hey Yuri. Oh no. I haven't yet. Wanna have it together?" "Yeah, sure. Sounds like a plan. We can head to the Zhong's directly after the lunch." "Ok, cool. I'll carry the documents with me." "Sure meet me in the hallway." she said and ended the phone call.
Yuri picked her bag and exited her office. She met Jisung in the hallway. Together, they headed to the parking lot. "So where should we eat?" Jisung asked. "I'm not in a mood to eat something heavy. Can we eat just eat some ramen?" Yuri boringly asked him. "Sure, I don't mind." Jisung shrugged and agreed.
The siblings stopped by a nearby convenience store to have a meal. They sat at the provided dining area as they caught up with each other.
"So Jisung, how is Iseul doing these days?" Yuri asked him curiously about his girlfriend, Suh Iseul. She is the younger sister of Johnny Suh- a preeminent fashion designer. Yuri has always been a fan of his work and always wore his designs for any party or galas. That's actually how Jisung and Iseul met.
Isuel is beautiful and a bright girl. A total opposite of Jisung. If Jisung is calm and uptight, Iseul is more hyper and laid back. It makes Yuri wonder alot how they both are even together but they oddly complimented each other very well.
"She's doing good. I picked her up from the uni yesterday. We spent some time together," Jisung said as he slurped the noodles. "That's great. It's been long since I met her. How long have you guys been together?" Yuri's questioned. "It will be a year in October," he retorted. "Damn, my brother grew up! Look at him having a serious relationship!" Yuri happily chimed.
"You need to find someone for yourself too Yu. You get so many proposals but you turn each one of them down," Jisung said as a matter of fact. "I don't know Jwi. Those men are good looking but I don't find them competent enough I guess? I like men with brains Jwi and not just good looks," Yuri replied to the younger. Jisung shrugged at her answer, "You do you."
As they finished eating, the duo made their way to car heading to their next stop, the Zhong Industries Ltd.
