The dinner with Jeno's friends went exceptionally well for Yuri. She never thought Jeno would actually take her and her brother to meet his friends. Apart from that, she never expected his friends to be so outgoing towards the siblings.
Yuri was now in her room, lying on her bed, staring at the ceiling blankly. Recaps from the dinner were flashing in her mind.
"Friends", a word which was stuck in her mind. Till yesterday, Johnny and Iseul were the only friends she had and overnight, the number doubled up.
A faint smile made a way on her lips as she remembered the events. Especially the one where Jeno constantly made sure she was comfortable and won't feel out of the place.
Just a mere thought was enough to warm up her insides. The butterflies was what she exactly felt. She couldn't deny the emerging feelings she had for Jeno, not when they were clear as a crystal.
Thinking about acting on her feelings, her past holds her back once again. The feeling of self doubt, and fear of getting betrayed again kept on overtaking her mind.
How long? How long was she going to let the past hold her back from actually being happy? Yuri has all the rights to pursue her happiness and let go the pain she carried with her for years.
It was finally the time to move ahead of all the pain, tears and bad memories and pursue what makes her happy and who makes her happy.
Ultimately making up her mind, Yuri finally came to a conclusion to start a new chapter of her life and bury all the unwanted memories of her past.
Yuri was ready. Ready to chase her happiness, find love and live her life the way she wants to.
Abruptly getting up from her bed, she made her way downstairs to her father's study room. The sudden opening of the study door caught the elder Park's attention. Keeping the book down on the desk, his eyes moved to scan the unusual commotion.
He saw his eldest child standing near the door in her pajamas with her hands on her waist and a determined look on her face.
"Dad, I will buy my own condo and live there. It's high time I start living on my own, thankyou. Have a good night." with this Yuri left the study.
A quizzical expression was formed on the elder's face. Yuri just declared her decision and went back to her room without hearing a reply. Not that Jiwoon was going to stop Yuri but he just needed an explanation behind her sudden decision.
Coming back to her room, Yuri settled on the little study around the corner. She settled down on the chair; her eyes searching for one particular thing, her diary.
As soon as she found it, she started noting down things she wanted to do.
"And done." Yuri said as she shut the diary close.
Determination oozed off Yuri as she plopped back down on her bed with her laptop, searching for condominiums at a convenient distance from the office and her parent's place.
"Here starts my house hunting." Yuri mumbles, going through a list of properties in front of her screen.
Happiness, something Yuri truly tried going after. Finally thinking about herself for once.
"It's going to be new day, new me." Yuri whispered, eyeing the moon that shone brightly through the window pane.
