11~ Our Eyes Met Again

Days flied away quick. It was like yesterday when Johnny and Yuri were talking about the awards night. It was finally here. 

Yuri was finally going to attend the Imperial Business Awards. It was all very surreal for her. From attending the awards as the daughter of the President of 'Park Y&J' to attending the award as a CEO herself was like a great achievement for her.

There she was standing infront of the mirror. Confident, would be an understatement. She was ready to give her all today. She wasn't just Park Yuri today but CEO of Park Yu&Ji Inc. 

Yuri took a deep breath as she glanced at her look. Her demeanor screamed badass. Johnny knew what exactly would look good on her and he did an excellent job at it. The outfit accentuated more of her professional and mature side. 

"I can do this," Yuri mumbled, encouraging herself. She took a last glance at herself. Her eyes softened but also held a proud gaze. 

The agonizing past did not stop her from being who she is today. If she could she would have travelled back to her past and just embraced the young Yuri with warmth and affection. She would have expressed her gratitude for staying strong throughout everything. 

As Yuri was lost in her own trail of thoughts, a knock on the door interrupted it and snapped her back to reality. 

Jisung peeked his head inside. "Hey, are you ready?" he asked. Yuri nodded and made her way to the door. 

As she walked down the stairs and met her parents, she felt a sense of déjà vu of how few months ago she was in the same place. 

Jiwoon's eyes held the gaze of a proud father when he saw his children come down from their rooms. He never forced any of them into the family business. They were always free to choose their own career path but it was just a natural inclination and fondness towards the company who the children saw their father work hard for. 

Just like how a proud father would feel, Jiwoon felt the same. A warm feeling of pride and a stray drop of tear rolled down his eyes. 

Yuri and Jisung's smile faltered after watching the tears. They quickly approached him. The elder engulfed them in his embrace as the mother just watched the moment, her eyes welling up as well. 

Jiwoon patted their backs and released the hug. "Let's go. We don't want to be late today," he said while wiping his tears and flashed them a smile. 

The family of four entered their respective cars. Just like the last time they separated in pairs, the older couple reaching the venue first soon followed by the youngsters. 

The car halted in front of a red carpet laid on the floor for the guests. Being the gentleman with etiquettes, Jisung got down from the car first and opened the door for his sister. 

Yuri got down the car, confidence oozing out of her. Tonight she wasn't just a regular 21 year old woman but a 21 year old CEO set to capture the markets and spread her business. Nothing can hold her back tonight from receiving her token of excellence. 

As soon as Yuri stepped out of the car she was surrounded by lights and flashes of cameras capturing her every move. 

The siblings linked their arms and watched how the journalists and paparazzi's struggled and trampled over one another to capture every single moment of the Park siblings.

The duo walked to the center and struck a pose for the cameras. Even doing the bare minimum was caught on the cameras like Jisung helping his sister push her hair behind her shoulder. A simple and a day to day gesture by him made the crowd burst wild.
