10~ Jealousy Jealousy

Jeno received the invitation too. He was very elated as it was his first time attending the awards as a CEO of his company. But that wasn't the only thing that brought a smile on his face. It was a chance, a chance to meet her again and this time he was ready to cross every hurdle just to know her better.

Besides the two there was also another person who was looking forward to it, to meet Yuri again. Jaehyun was not ready to lose her even if he was the one to cut the ties. His competitive self just won't let him sit quiet and lose her to another man.

On the other hand Yuri was just done with Jaehyun's behavior. She couldn't grasp why he was acting like that when he himself was the one to breakup with her and did not even look back check on her. He was the one to let her go.

Yuri was in her office stressed, eyeing the bouquet that was in front of her. It was the 20th bouquet that she received in a span of 2 months and it was getting annoying. They were from Jaehyun.

The knock on the door distracted her. Jisung entered her office. "Another one again?" Jisung asked pointing to the flower bouquet. Yuri heaved a heavy sigh.

"Yeah," she replied and leaned back on her chair. "What does he even want?" Jisung quizzed and sat in front of her. "I don't know Jwi. I'm not letting him break me. He's doing this so that he can get my attention and that's not going to happen," she replied.

The younger picked up the bouquet and threw it in the trash. "You don't need this kind of toxicity again. Ignore him," he said sternly. Yuri closed her eyes, "I'm trying Jwi. But he knows me too well. Flowers have always been my weakness, even when we were together."

Yuri now sat up straight. "Anyway, I'm meeting Johnny. You want to come?" she asked. "Naah, I'm meeting Iseul. I haven't met her for days, kinda miss her," he confessed.

"Ah that's disgustingly cute. You better treat her right because she has a lot of patience to go days without meeting you," Yuri said. "Yeah I know. That is why I'm meeting her today," he replied to which Yuri nodded.

Yuri checked her watch, "It's 2:30pm, I'll have lunch with Johnny. What about you?" she asked him. "Probably with Iseul," he replied and shrugged his shoulders. Yuri just gave him a thumbs up and took an exit from her office after collecting her things.

She headed to the restaurant where she and Johnny decided to meet and have lunch together.

Yuri entered the restaurant and saw Johnny sitting in a corner. She walked up to him and tapped his shoulder. Johnny looked up. "You finally came! I am hungry. Please order something," he said.

Yuri chuckled at his behavior, "Hi to you too," she replied and settled on the chair in front of him. She went through the menu. Both of them ended up deciding to eat sushi. The waitress took their order and bowed.

"So what's the recent tea?" Johnny asked as he clasped his hands together curiously. Yuri leaned back on the chair, "Jaehyun and his silly antics don't seem to stop anytime soon," she replied.

Johnny's eyes widened at the information she gave. "Don't tell me he's still sending you flowers?" surprise laced in his tone. Yuri just nodded at his response. "He does. I'm just gonna sit back and see till how long he keeps this act up. I don't want to give in," she replied.

Johnny understandingly nodded his, "I don't understand why is he even doing this act and stuff. First he breaks your heart and now after 2-3 years when you're finally doing well and thriving for yourself, he just makes and entry. Like who does he think he is?" he said frustratingly.

Yuri shrugged at his comment. "Not going to lie. It's getting on my nerves. Even Jwi finds it to be annoying. He doesn't think twice before throwing those in the trash," she retorted. A smiled etched on Johnny's lips. "Yeah! That's my boy!" he said signifying Jisung.

Soon the food arrived. They conversated while eating the meal. "John, I got invited to the awards," she informed him. He did a wolf whistle, "That's great!" "And I'll be needing your design for the evening," she replied.

"I got your back don't worry," Johnny retorted back happily and went back to eating. He lifted his head up, "What kind of style do you want to pull off?" he quizzed.

Yuri hummed for a moment and replied, "Since it's a business award, let's go with formals. Why don't we opt for blazers?" Johnny liked the idea, "Hmm, good choice. I can definitely do something with that," he replied.

They finished the meal. Johnny was about to pay when Yuri spoke up, "Hey, the lunch is on me," she flashed a smile. "God I pray everyone gets a friend like you," he said jokingly and hugged her.

Yuri willingly hugged him back but was pulled out of it. She turned around to see the one and only Jung Jaehyun.

Irritation irked up his face when he saw Johnny hug her. Controlling himself he put up a forced smile, "Fancy seeing you here," he uttered. She did not reply him instead she held Johnny's hand and was about to leave.

Jaehyun stopped her by holding her hand. "Isn't it rude to leave without addressing my greeting?" he cocked a brow at her. Yuri turned around, totally done with his behavior.

"I hope you got the flowers. I sent them to you with all my love," he said cockily still holding onto her hand. "All your love is in the trash now. Thanks to Jisung," she replied to him sarcastically while glaring at him.

"Leave her hand Mr.Jung. I am asking you this respectfully," Johnny decided to jump in. Jaehyun finally left her hand and diverted his attention to Johnny. He smirked, "You always carry bodyguards around you I guess. I just wanted to spend some time with you alone you know," he said.

Yuri's temper hit the roof. She would hear anything about her but won't tolerate anything that's being said against or about her friends.

"Don't show me your face again because next time, I won't hold myself back from filing a restraining order against you," Yuri said as her voice dropped a baritone.

Jaehyun took a step back and and mockingly held his hand in the air, "Ohh, scary. Anyway see you when I see you babe. I hope next time I don't see you with one of your bodyguards," Jaehyun said and winked at her.

Yuri huffed in annoyance as she watched the latter's retrieving figure. She finally took a deep sigh when Jaehyun finally disappeared from her sight.

Johnny wrapped an arm around her, "You good?" he asked with concern. "Yeah, don't worry," she said and flashed a smile.

"That.... was.. something unexpected," he said while tilting his head and raising his eyebrows. Surprise evident in his tone. "Yeah. Never thought I'll have to see his face after a lovely lunch, tchh," Yuri replied and clicked her tongue in disappointment.

Johnny just chuckled at her. He ruffled her hair. "Let's go. Lead the way Monsieur," Yuri said gesturing and chuckled as she held his arm, ready to leave the restaurant.

Little did they know that they were being watched by the same person who confronted them a few minutes ago. His heart clenched at the sight of her smiling brightly with someone else who wasn't him.
