7. "Mysteries"

"Error, open the portal." Nightmare waited impatiently.

Error opened a glitching white portal. The portal lead to a dark void. Some confusion showed on Errors face.

Nightmare noticed this, "What is it Error?"

"The AU. It's pitch black, like the void. That's not normal Nightmare."

"We'll just take our chances then." Nightmare walked into the portal with the Murder Time Trio in quick pursuit. Before heading in, Horror turned around and gave Error the middle finger.

"Why the hell do I hang out with these idiots." Error mumbled.

You had wandered for about twenty more minutes after almost being someone's lunch. You eventually found a unused bedroom...you hoped. There was nothing in any of drawers anyways, plus no weird picture frame hanging above the doorframe like every other door.

You discovered a bathroom that connected with the room. You gently close the door to the the bedroom. You didn't want anyone to know you were in there. Turning around, you were face to face with Error.

"What the hell!?" You shout as you scrambled backwards, "Can't you handle people's privacy?!" 

Error let out a small chuckle, "Well normally there's nobody in this room. Plus I saw the door close."

So much for being undiscovered.

"Did I interrupt something?" Error raised his non existent eyebrow.

"Well I just was going to hop in the shower. So uh..." The air around both of you got extremely awkward.

"Sooo erm..." You could tell this was making Error uncomfortable. You opened the door you just closed only a few minutes ago.

"Welp bye!" You then go to shove Error out of the door. Error then lurched out of the way of your touch.

"You good? Ohhh wait yeah I know it's sort of weird to have a newcomer touch you. Sorry 'bout that."

Still, after your apology, Error stared at your hands. Something was in his eyes...fear? You were honestly confused about this.

Without a word, Error left the room.

"Well that was some weird shit." You close the door and lock it. Even though they could all teleport in...wait. Didn't Dust say that Nightmare wanted him, Horror and Killer to go on a mission? 

So that would mean only three people were in the castle. What's the chances of anyone teleporting in here?

You then wondered the more important thing, What mission?

You would have to worry later, right now your bigger issue is if anyone was going to catch you in the shower.

Error laid his back against the wall, trying to calm down. He didn't want to crash at the moment. 

"Stupid haphephobia." He looked at his own hands, slightly scared.

But they didn't know, his mind countered. Like it matters.

He sighed and took out his phone. Nightmare then appeared with the rest of the Murder Time Trio.

Error was slightly shocked, "Thought you needed to feel negatively to teleport."

"I do." Nightmare gave Error a hard look. Ah.

"So, what happened?"

"Somehow, the negativity there was being covered up. As soon as I entered the AU, a wave of negativity came over me. The place was full of it. But no survivors, and not even a hint to show if anyone was there."

Error nodded his head as Nightmare explained. The Trio had exited the room as soon as Nightmare started talking.

"So in short, we have nothing."

"Basically."

Error could tell that Nightmare was frustrated. He walked off to let Nightmare cool off some steam.

"Error." Error turned back around.

"Yeah?"

"If Y/N can mimic our attacks, doesn't that mean they're one of the strongest humans in existence?"

Error thought about it.

"Yeah, if they can remember how to do the attacks. Especially with both of our attacks combined."

Nightmare was thinking. He could use them, but in a fight against the Stars, they might revert to the Stars side.

Error continued walking off.
