Chapter 6

The following morning I applied this tube of medicine in this chap stick like thing on my stab wound that was cut off last night, and put my clothes back on.
February the 1st,
life went on like normal,
a video game I liked was coming out on the 3ds, Fire Emblem Fates,
ever sense I saw the trailer for it on YouTube I've been hyped ever sense and now I just have thirteen days left before I can buy it!

My hype aside, I've been talking with Drawnco, not out loud of course, that would be kinda weird.
More or less the conversation is along the lines of it's gonna be three weeks before we get our power back and that it wants me to find the fourth and final ring,
last thing he says is that he will be going into kinda like a hibernation like state or power nap to be more accurate.

I continued GED and for a week I crashed at Akil's bar to keep him in the loop about this cursed ring,
I told him about Drawnco and of course it was a bit hard to explain but after showing him the power,
I turned him into a believer fast,
Twin Ifrits learned from Akil sense I have a tight schedule, my grandmother still thinks I'm getting tottering and during this said three weeks Akil has hooked me up with all sorts of clients.

Let's just say I won't be going broke anytime soon, everything I needed to know about my targets was sent over text message and on the usual night I go to my aunt's house. In between contracts and balancing my normal life I have been looking into getting the fourth ring but as well as that sounds, it's quite litterally finding a ring in a haystack,
that being said three weeks flew by fast, I got my hands on Fire Emblem Fates and boy did I love the game!

I played the game for another month before Drawnco finally said something, I got back into looking for the ring through intel but again nothing was turning up.
March 24th,
I've been eating and eating but I still feel hungry,
my grandmother does her usual bitching and moaning only this time it was about how I'm eating too much and that I won't find a Christian girlfriend if I keep gaining weight,

last thing she said was that she has been looking at my browser history thanks to the help of a friend of mine and she's been tracking me the past three weeks, how? I don't know but she's smart enough to do something that ridiculous. Enough was finally enough, I reached my breaking point and I finally let her have it, all my anger, stress, hate and resentment!

"SHUT THE FUCK UP BITCH! EVER SENSE GRANDPA DIED YOU'VE BEEN NOTHING BUT A PAIN IN MY ASS! ALL YOU CARE ABOUT IS SHOVING YOUR FUCKING RELIGION AND IDEALS DOWN MY FUCKING DAMN THROAT! I WANT TO LIVE LIFE HOW I WANT TO, NOT HOW YOU WANT ME TO! THIS IS THE VERY REASON WHY MOTHER AND FATHER LEFT!"

The whole rant she kept yelling at me to shut up and listen to her but I denied that opportunity,
she resorted to calling me belligerent, mule headed, jackass,
and lastly screaming that I'm just a kid and that she's the grownup and that she knows what's best for me and that I shouldn't question her judgment or God's will.
As soon as I finished what I said she slapped me across the face,
told me to go to my room and that I'm grounded,
adrenaline was pumping across my body and all I knew was that I had to get away from her,
so I did what she said and I went into my room grumbling under my breath about how much of a asshole parent figure she was and that my aunt and uncle were more like parents to me then she's ever been in years.

I just put on some music on my phone and play it without a headset to calm me down, not even a minute into my song I heard grandmother calling someone over the phone,
I turned the music up so I couldn't hear her and for once I felt at ease in my own home, if only for a little bit.
After a few minutes my grandmother comes into my room with the most pissed off face ever, she grabs my phone off my bed, throws it on the floor and breaks it in half with a metal bat she got from the portch.

"WHAT HELL DID YOU DO THAT FOR?!" I yelled and she points the bat at me.
"You need to repent for your sins Seth, so I'm taking everything that turns you away from God."
She says so calmy yet her face and eyes say otherwise,
she takes the bat to my Xbox 360, breaks my tv and starts smashing all my video games! I try to stop her but she rams the bat into my stomach, knocking the wind out of me.

"Don't resist, I will purge everything in this room that will turn you to sin."
She takes all my Fairy Tail manga,
Akame Ga Kill manga,
and my Kingdom Hearts manga then goes outside and sets it a blaze with her lighter. That really was the final straw for me,
while she was busy burning my manga collection,
I grabbed a trash bag for my sword collection and bagged my gladius sword, my ninjaken and my showcase highlander katana.

I leave through the back door, climb over the fence and start walking up the street, I can't go to Akil's, I can't go to the Twin Ifrits, I can't go to my aunt's and uncle's house.

I have nowhere to go now except for my shop fifteen minutes down the road,
I zip over there with Shadow Execution and unlock my shop, luckily I have my work phone,
it won't be long before my grandmother calls the cops and starts looking for me,
I pull up the news on the phone and wait for the missing person's report,
it will be at most two to three days at most before it gets broadcasted onto the news,
my choices are withdraw my money from my account and get weeks worth of food long enough to get a new client or leave my money in my bank accounts and terminate the account. After a few hours I decided to take my money out and book it to the next city over,
I bought necessary food at a Dollar General and walked all the way back to my shop.

"Looks like I'll be eating my pay checks." I open the door and text Akil everything that went down, it's good thing he's very sympathetic towards me,
he told me to not even bother paying him back for the gear he made me and that it was on the house.
He also said he would bring me two weeks worth of food after he closed up shop.
I smile,
that man has always been more of a brother to me.

I chill in my shop and after three days I finally aired on tv under the missing person's report,
Akil swung by and set up his police radio in one of my many storage rooms,
he said he no longer needed it and that I could get more use out of it then him.
I told him thanks and how every act of kindness he's done to me I'm extremely greatful for.

"No problem Seth, gotta help my brother from another mother out cuz you be doing the same for me if I ever needed it. Take care fam."
I give him a hug then he leaves,
from this point onward I'm gonna be on the down low until I can buy a new place,
a day passes then a day becomes a week, then another week and still no customers. My body is shaking for some unknown reason, I made sure I was staying hydrated and I was eating three meals a day, so why? Why is my body shaking?

(Hunger! I hunger!) Drawnco says from within my body, all of sudden I feel my body go into a very excruciating pain! It felt like all my organs were being moved around! I start violently coughing and eventually I puked into my tiolet. (Drawnco, what the hell is going on?!)

I asked and yet he took his sweet time answering. (You're finally a Artificial Demon now, that pain you felt was a result of growing extra set of lungs, heart and various other organs should you be shot, stabbed or slashed.) I process what was said and look at my still shaking body, I still look skinny though, wouldn't my body be a lot bigger then? This is just bizarre.

(Seth, now that we've officially become one being and enterd a contract, eating human foods will no longer provide our body with the nutrients it needs, as bad as this sounds. I'm going to need you to eat humans. That is the only way to quell your shaking body.)

Why wasn't I told this a week or two ago?! My stomach grumbles,
there is no way I'm eating another person, no fucking way!
I'd rather starve!
(Well there is one other solution but given your current predicament it might make matters worse.)

How worse are we talking about? (Spotted by the police or other eye witnesses.) Hmmm maybe going out may not be so bad? (Go to any near by convenience store and buy a can of Monster and chocolate. Chocolate controls our power and makes it so we blend in with humans without messing with anything electrical, the Monster or nearly any energy drink for that matter will temporarily quell our cravings. Like getting full off eating potato chips.) I get up and prepare to leave the shop, I hope I don't regret the choice I'm about to make.
