Chapter 20

I was checked into the hospital under my real name and Elaine stayed with me until I was taken back.
For three days I was high off liquid pain killers, the doctors did their best to stitch me up,
I knew I would be heald up eventually but they didn't.
After two weeks I got the clear to go home, I was handed my phone and a new charger at the front desk and booted up my phone, I left and just kinda walked home,
after a minute I received two messages from numbers I don't know.
One says it's Kenneth and the other says it's Elaine,
both messages inform me that they lied to their bosses but would monitor my movement to truely see if I would try to unite man and demon,
they both also state that I am in the clear to return to base so I did,
apon arrival I was met with anger, shock and joy all at once.
Penny was Penny, Leon,
Brandon and Anton were actually concerned for me and asked me how the hell I got back,
my siblings though took the news the best. "See told you he's alive, our brother is too stubborn to die."

Chase says to Leon and Anton. "Meh, glad to see you up and about."
Sora says looking at me.
"Did you enjoy your two weeks off?" Terra asks me.
"I was high on pain killers and by day three my healing factor kicked in but I had to surpress it for two weeks to not make dotors wig out."
The day mostly went on like normal other then Penny being a little clingy,
Leon and Anton trained with my siblings, Brandon talked with the Demon Council and Penny watched tv with me,
it was the usual day for me,
the next day my siblings peaced out and decided to hit the road again,
I helped them pack and saw them off. Brandon seemed a bit relieved that they were going,
Penny gave them all a hug, Brandon and Leon waved them off and exchanged cell phone numbers.
"Hey Brandon."
Sora says, Brandon turns around and Sora gives him the most intimidating face ever. "If you do anything to my brother, I'll kill you myself."
Sora's aura was extremely hostile but she gets in with Terra and Chase,
Chase cranks the car and Sora rolls down her window then makes the I'm watching you sighn before Chase drives off. Brandon shivers like a cold feeling went down his spine then we all go in.

"Okay everyone, meeting time, we're behind schedule as is so we got to get our job done asap. Tomorrow we're heading to a friend of mine's place in Easely, he has a 'Ace In The Hole' for us to deliver to the Demon Council. Everyone be on best behavior and remember you're representing us as well as my friend."
Brandon returns to his office and me, Penny, Leon and Anton watch anime for the rest of the day.

The next day we all got up and moving at three pm and arrived in Easely at sunset, Brandon leads us to the back end house by the rail road,
the street coverd in cars but no one really there. Brandon knocks on the door and a buff man that's six foot six inches with a body builder body opens the door. He tan skin and brown messy hair with glasses. "Come on in everyone."
He says in a annoyed tone then shuts the door behind us,
I don't know what I expected but it certainly wasn't this,
the best I can describe it as was a whore house.
There was this pink fog looking stuff floating around and a bunch of drug addicts laughing,
dead or just smoking their joint. "What in the hell?"
I ask. I saw this black mist like energy flowing into me,
Penny, Leon and Anton.
"So much fear in one place."
Leon states,
Brandon was yacking with his friend, seeing all of this,
the inner detective in me peaced it all together and that was when I lost my cool. "This place is a fear house."
Leon and Anton look me like huh?
"This place is used to harvest fear to make demon's stronger. It also serves as a slaughter house, that's why there are dead drug additcs."

The second I said that, fear sets into them too,
then they hesitantly look at Brandon's friend.
I walk over to the buff man and confront him.
"You're harvesting fear from these humans aren't you?"
The man looks at me like I'm a nusiance. "So what if I am, what's it to you?"
I make a fist.
"You shouldn't eat innocent people." The man looks at me,
sees that I'm serious and laughs. "Wake up and smell the blood kid, these druggies you see die a happy death. They live here for for free for free drugs and I overdose them with drugs containing hilusination in it, I get free fear and food and they live their dream life." I get closer to the man having to look up to him to make eye contact.
"I'm going to ask you once more big guy, stop eating these humans or meet me out side and we'll settle things like men." The man narrows his eyes at me and Brandon just sighs.
"Dammit Seth, I told you this is a very important mission and you make a scene, if you walk out that door and insist in a fight, your pay will be docked and I will report you."
I look Brandon in the eye and tell him I'm not afraid of the Council, Brandon sighs again and I motion for the door, the big man follows me outside and Penny allows herself to be absorbed by me. "Before I turn you into a bloody smere on the ground, what's your name shit stain?" I give him my name and he takes stance.
