Bakugo's POV
I remembered the last time I was hurt by my mom, but I never remember it being this bad.
The second the door closed after we set foot in the house, a hand hit me hard on the cheek and I winced, my shoulders tensing up.
"This is what you get for making us spend $5,000 on a stupid healing," she growled, before taking off her high heel and smashing it into my face.
I knew better than to fight back. I cried out as the heel connected with my face, and pain arched down into my neck as I stumbled back, gently holding my cheek.
My dad was no where to be seen. He usually disappeared when the beating started.
My mom put her heel back on and kicked me hard in a gut, making me cough and slouch over. That sent her over the edge.
"How can you be a freaking hero if you go down after one kick?" She mocked, kicking me again and making me collapse. "I didn't raise a freaking weakling, but that's what you're showing me you are!"
She proceeded to kick me repeatedly with her heels, in the exact same spot, over and over again until I started yelling out in pain and coughing up bits of blood.
"You're so useless," she spat. "No wonder you got kidnapped. I was almost wishing you wouldn't come back."
She slammed down, harder than before, with her heel, and I heard a faint crack noise. A horrible pain flooded through my stomach and I cried out, knowing what had just happened:
The hag just broke my rib.
She knelt down and slapped me across the face before roughly grabbing my chin and making me look at her through blurry vision.
"Katsuki Bakugo," she mocked, letting go of my chin. "A name that no one will ever remember."
She strolled off into the kitchen, only to return a few moments later with a knife in her hand.
My eyes got wide as a million thoughts raced through my head. I was going to die.
"Oh, I'm not going to kill you," she said, sliding her finger over the flat of the blade. "I don't wanna go to jail. But I'll leave you with a little present."
She knelt down on top of me, her knee digging into my broken rib. A choked cry escaped my mouth and her nose crinkled. "Oh, shut up."
Then, she raised her arm and stabbed the knife into my shoulder all the way up to the hilt.
A blood curling scream escaped my lips, then my body shut down and my vision went dark, slowly escaping into the numbing bliss of unconsciousness.

I woke up thinking about how horrible school was going to be tomorrow. I hadn't gone since I became deaf, but I knew that if I didn't start going, my grades would drop and I would be kicked out of U.A.
I forced myself to get up off the floor, even though my body was screaming in protest. I needed to patch myself up.
I stumbled up the stairs, gritting my teeth as each step caused another wave of pain to wash over me. I eventually made it to my room and into the bathroom, where I slammed the door shut. My eyes drifted over to my reflection.
Well, my shirt was ruined.
I swore under my breath as I stared at myself. New, ugly bruises were beginning to form on my arms, and blood drenched my shirt around my shoulder area, where my mom had stabbed me.
