Bakugo's POV

"I'm not telling you, even if I did remember."

That was a total lie.

I remembered everything.

I knew for a fact that Kirishima would get worried if he found out that I was the cause of my injury, so I pretended I didn't know what happened so that he wouldn't have to worry.

Although the paramedics had healed me, I was still in a lot of pain, and I passed out during the ride back to the hospital.

When I woke up, I was in a hospital bed, hooked up to multiple IVs. My hand was bandaged up and an IV was placed in it. I weakly lifted my arm and my fingers brushed against my neck. There was a bandage there, too, covering nearly my entire neck.

I was in a hospital gown, though I'm not sure why. It's not like I was going to be there for a while.

My eyes drifted to the door as it opened and a nurse stepped in. She was holding my clothes and the box that contained my hearing aids. She nodded at me before setting my things down on a chair and handing me the hearing aids.

I put them in and almost immediately regretted it. That annoying beeping sound next to my ear was going to drive me crazy.

"We've contacted your parents, but you'll have to stay a while before you can be released," the nurse told me. "And that friend of yours is coming to visit you in a few minutes."

"Whatever," I said.

She bowed and then left my room. I laid there for a while with my eyes closed, listening to the beeping sound of my heart.

A knock on the door made me open my eyes, and I tilted my head towards the door. When no one came in I said, "You can come in...?"

The door opened and Kirishima entered. He looked amazing. The gel in his hair was softening, so his usual spiky hair was returning to how it looked when it was down. I took a moment to appreciate the perfect being in front of me until I realized what face his was making.

His face dampened my mood. A lot.

"Bakugo!" He exclaimed, racing over to me and giving me a gentle peck on my cheek.

Blush burned my face as I turned away. Would I ever get used to that?

His face changed back into that worried look. "Are you okay? Did they figure out what happened?"

"I only woke up a few minutes ago," I said. "I don't know what's going on."

That last part was a lie. I knew exactly what had happened to me.

"Is your neck okay?" I asked him, feeling guilty.

He smiled. "Yeah, it's fine! You can't even see the burn anymore, see?"

He proudly displayed his neck, pointing at the area I had burned him.

I just hummed quietly in response and looked away. I felt really bad for hurting him. If only I didn't have that stupid PTSD, then nothing would have happened... we could just be having a casual conversation right now at my house...

"Bakugo?" Kirishima said, waving his hand in front of my face and snapping me back to reality. "Why are you looking so glum? I'm fine!"

I took a deep breath, adjusted my position, then hesitantly said, "U-um, shark face..."

His worried gaze wasn't helping me tell him.

"Listen, d-don't freak out, but, uh..." I slowly lifted my hand and pointed at my neck. "I-I-"
