I got Carlos to the hospital whilst holding his wound my heart beating a mile a minute I got him admitted as he was in surgery removing the glass from his abdomen.
"Tk strand we have a update on your boyfriend." A lady called
I jumped out of my seat
"We were able to remove the glass but he'll have to stay off duty for a month to recover from the surgery ." She said standing in his doorway
"Oh he's gonna love that ." I said sarcastically looking at the Hispanic man who was sleeping peacefully before my eyes
"He'll be up soon after the anesthesia wears off ." She said as she left
I had called Carlos parents and they were in there way I didn't bother to call my dad since he was in a shift as-well as everyone else
I heard a knock on the doorframe causing me to look up from the chair
"Tk what happened!" His mom said concerned
"There Was a person who was trying to sexually assault this teenage girl and Carlos tried to stop him and ended up getting a bottle smashed up against his lower abdomen but the doctors say he's fine and that he'll have to be off of work for a month ."
"Thank you for being there for him Tk ." His dad said making me look up in shock last time we talk I was telling him to apologize to Carlos for what he said I didn't think he even liked me
"I'll always be here ."
