I have always been anxious about crossing intersections

I have always been anxious about crossing intersections.

I have always been frightened of crossing intersections; of not distinguishing which path to pursue.

I have always been terrified of crossing intersections; of being around familiar strangers who uninvitedly come and go.

I have always been reluctant of crossing intersections; not knowing when to rest and stop pushing myself; when to be ready to fight back; and when to go back to the soiled pages of my remarkable book of life. When to stop? When to move forward?

I have always been troubled by crossing intersections confused between stoplights and spotlights.

I kept seeing myself walking on the abandoned streets of self-rejection over and over again. But soon enough I realized that I wasn't indeed lost. I just kept on choosing that familiar path because that's the only path I ideally wanted to foolishly believe in, but it isn't.

Erratically, we think we are lost, but we aren't. We are just too afraid to find out who we are so, we keep avoiding crossing intersections. We felt safe by caging ourselves; believing that walking represents the best we can do when in reality, we are begotten to soar higher than the ablaze skies. We settle for less all because of the fear of being too much.

We are made to shine fiercely during our own time on the right sky tailored for us. But one thing is for sure, we must not let these spotlights blind us. They say, the more the star aims to shine, the more it burns, and the faster life runs out.

You don't need to burn pieces of yourself just to shine.

We'll get lost on our emotional journey, but that doesn't mean we can't trace back our steps. Lost doesn't mean gone. This may be the chief reason why each intersection universally holds a stoplight, to subtly remind us of how we must accurately differentiate it from blinding spotlights. To make us realize that we must take a step back and breathe.

My Bravest Souls, life is a grand avenue of lost souls, searching for their purpose and worth. But what's there to search for when the purpose and worth are already embedded within you? You will always be worthy. Your existence will always be significant. The world's unspeakable cruelty may forcibly make you forget all these, but it's a fundamental truth that will never be erased.

Once more, you are worthy.

Your existence is significant.

Always.

You'll undoubtedly have your spotlights and stoplights in life and I pray that may you carefully differentiate the two. Enjoy the warmth of spotlights but don't permit them to blind your vision. Heartily enjoy the rest brought by the stoplights but always choose to move forward at the end of the day.

Keep going, brave soul.
