We are too busy riding other peoples' waves that we forgot how to tame our waves; making ourselves believe that in shallow waters, we won't drown yet, in shallowness, you can't swim.

We are too caught up in an endless chase for our dreams that we forgot how to open our eyes to possess better vision. When everything's a blur, all we have to do is to trace back where we first embraced the courage to depict our first steps.

We are extremely tired of building ourselves using the pieces that they required us we must have to remain whole for them. We are too tired of building ourselves using the pieces that they told us we must have to be whole-again, for them. Pushing yourself to fit in the wrong shoes they ask you to wear will solely make your feet sore until you can no longer stand up and walk.

We are too terrified of traversing the streets alone that we overlooked how we were wholly independent of others; that each star concedes its cavern of the sky. No matter how we confuse ourselves, we all have our own identities. No matter how many times we willingly forgot where we left the broken fragments of ourselves, we will always find our way back home.

Gather a deep breath. Inhale self-love and exhale all the pressure and burden the society suffocated you with. Know that it's completely fine to be yourself.

Own yourself.

I know, owning ourselves is one of the sternest things to do. But I also think it's the most courageous thing a soul can do- to make flowers bloom beneath the deep trenches of scoreless drought.

This world will constantly give you plenty of unclear reasons to nurture hate and embrace fear, and none of all the people around you will remind you of how beautiful you are amidst all your scars, but yourself.

Every so often, we don't need other people's comfort.

Sometimes, we just need to appreciate, accept, appreciate, forgive, and embrace ourselves.

You are someone to be proud of.

Nothing's wrong with you.

You are enough.

You are wonderful.

You are a blessing.

Please, start owning yourself.
