Healing Memories

Despite being exhausted last night, I found it hard to sleep. The events of last night constantly replaying through my head. More importantly, the odd behaviour of the lady continuously played through my mind. She had acted one way and voiced another. My mind was confused, making me wonder about Chris's birth parents' intentions and way of life. As I walked into the kitchen, breakfast was ready on the counter with a note attached.

Make sure you three eat properly. I prepared some of that milk from yesterday, make sure to warm it up and drink it. I will be checking!! I'm off to work, I love you. Call me if you need anything xx Auntie

Getting ready to throw it out, I notice there was something else written on it, in smaller, different handwriting.

Blake, maintain a 6 ft distance from my daughter at all times. Love you Jackie and Chris – Dad

A giggle escaped my lips as I scrunched up the note. Blake's hands wrapped from behind me, nuzzling his head in the crook of my neck, his raspy voice mumbling against me "Morning" My knees give out for a second as I try to steady myself, Blake grabs me quickly, helping me regain my balance "What was that?"

"Nothing" I quickly cover up, turning around to face him, going on my toes and kissing him "Morning, Chris up yet?"

"No, not yet. Are you feeling ok? I'll call the doctor" He urges me to sit on the counter stool, checking my hand and arm. I clutched my stomach, doubling over in laughter. I grab his hand, holding him in his place.

"Blake, I'm fine," I tell him, trying to catch my breath

"You were just about to fall"

"My boyfriend sounds very hot in the morning; it'd be hard not to" Blake did a double-take at my statement. As he processed what I said, a smirk crept on his lips as he stepped closer to me, taking my face in his hands. His raspy voice lowered more than usual "You better not be lying to me" I shake my head at him, confirming that I indeed was telling the truth. He hums in delight, lowering his face closer to mine. However, I smack the note on his lips.

"Dad said six feet distance at all times" He frowned, taking the note and reading it.

"He doesn't need to know" He tried again, leaning closer to me. "Just like he doesn't need to know how touchy of a sleeper you are"

I raised a brow at him, knowing well he was lying. "I am not. Chris was between us all night! I know I barely even touched you" Much to my surprise, he smirked back at me, sitting back down.

"Oh, babe. I'm not talking about last night." My eyes widened as I recalled the only other time we fell asleep in the same bed. my cheeks heated up realizing that Blake knew how close we were that morning "Last time we slept together. You were all over me. Wrapping your arms and legs all around me. I knew you wanted me, but that bad?" He tried to tease.
