Chapter 20

I peeped around the corner to see illumi. He was looking at me. i relaxed and quickly put the gun away.

I didn't realize he was behind me as I turned. I jumped surprised. I keep forgetting the fact he was a professional assassin. Of course, he was going to be silent when he walked around.

"do you mind if I stay here with you tonight?" he asked.

"of course, you can." I told him. I yawned and climbed into the queen size bed.

He climbed in next to me. I glanced over and he was already asleep it seemed. I shrugged it off. I turned my back to him and fell asleep.

I woke up in the morning, with Illumi's arms wrapped around me. his face was snuggled into my back. He was fast asleep. I stayed still letting him sleep.

About half an hour later he woke up. he shifted so he was laying his head against mine. His arms were still wrapped around me.

"morning." He told me.

"morning." I said back. I wasn't a very cuddly type of person but he and hisoka cuddling against me felt good. I liked it.

He stayed still just hugging me for a few minutes before my stomach let out a small grumble. I hadn't realized how hungry I had been before then.

Illumi was up and out of bed in a split second. I got up. he was already in the kitchen. I walked into the kitchen to see him cooking. I smiled. He didn't look like the type of person to cook.

I walked back into the bedroom grabbing a clean pair of clothes. I quickly changed. My outfit was a cropped f/c turtleneck, and black jeans. I brushed through my hair. as I walked out of the bathroom after getting ready for the day the first smell that hit my nose was the smell of bacon and eggs.

In the few minutes it took me to change and brush my hair he had bought eggs and bacon and started cooking it.

As I walked into the living room, he walked over handing me a plate Bacon, and (your favorite type of way to cook eggs) eggs. I took it from him.

"thank you illumi." I thanked him with a smile. He returned it.

Some people would find his smile creepy. To be honest I found it charming.

I sat down at the small 4-person table and started eating. He sat down across from me and ate his plate of food.

Once we were done eating, he ended up staring at me as I washed the dishes in the kitchen sink. He looked he wanted to ask a question.

"my parents want to meet you."

"huh?"

"my parents want to meet you. They think you're powerful and want to learn more about you." I was speechless.

"they want you to come and visit them sometime in the next 2 months." It took me a moment to gather myself, but I quickly shrugged it off.

"sure." He nodded. I finished washing al of the dirty dishes. He stood up once I was done.

"thanks for letting me stay with you last night."

"no problem."

"I'll be leaving now. Goodbye." He told me as he opened a window and jumped out.

I closed the window after he was gone. I grabbed my bag and decided to go shopping. I ended up walking around in a mall. I got a message from hisoka.

'hey where are you?'

'a mall shopping.'

'ok. Which mall?'

'(insert name of mall)'

'okay~ there's a nice dress store there.'

'ok.' I put my phone back into my bag.

I continued through the mall. I had bought a few outfits and random things. I was holding the bags in my left hand and kept my right hand in my pocket.

I was about to leave when someone tapped my shoulder. I glanced over hisoka was standing right behind me with a grin on his face. I raised my eyebrow implying my question of 'what're you doing here?'

He held out a bag to me.

"the troupe and the two of us will be going to the auction tonight. It'll be fun and here's your outfit."

"okay. Thank you hisoka." I thanked him while trying to peek in the bag. He held it above his head keeping it shut tight.

"no peeking." I rolled my eyes sarcastically. He grabbed my free hand. He spun me around back towards the shops in the mall.

"I was leaving-"

"nope. I'm going to take you on a much longer shopping spree." I sighed as he dragged me throughout the mall with him.

By the end of the shopping spree, I had 5 more large bags of clothes, makeup, and other gadgets. He finally took me back to my apartment.

I unlocked the door and walked in. he had half of the shopping bags. he walked in behind me kicking the door closed.

He walked right into the bedroom and set the bags down on the bed. I set the bags I was holding down next to them. He immediately started opening the bags.

he organized the new clothes in the closet while I organized the makeup and other stuff. We went through everything except for the bag with the surprise dress he had bought me.

I reached for it but he snatched it away.

"remember no peeking." He told me again.

"go get ready. Then I'll do your makeup for you and then you'll get to the dress." I nodded listening to him. I walked into the bathroom, locking the door behind me.
