Bludger, Dueling and Christmas

(Rogue Bludger) Emma's POV

It's been a week since Halloween and it's time for the first quidditch match of the season. I wasn't going to go. I wasn't going to go. But Hermione and Ron talked me into going.

During the last week we've found out more about the chamber of secrets. It all started back when the school was founded by Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Ravenclaw and Salazar Slytherin. Three of the founders coexisted quite harmoniously. One did not. Salazar Slytherin wished to be more selective about the students admitted to Hogwarts. He believed magical learning should be kept within all-magic families. In other words, pure-bloods.

Unable to sway the others, he decided to leave the school. According to legend, Slytherin had built a hidden chamber in this castle, known as the Chamber of Secrets. Well, shortly before departing, he sealed it, until that time when his own true heir returned to the school. The Heir alone would be able to open the Chamber, and unleash the horror within, and by so doing, purge the school of all those who, in Slytherin's view, were unworthy to study magic. Aka muggle borns. The school has been searched many times. No such Chamber has been found.

Anyway the match was good aside from the rogue bludger that tried to knock Harry off of his broom. Slytherin was in the lead, thanks to their superior brooms. But in the end Harry caught the snitch before Draco. However, ended up with a broken arm. Lockhart tried to mend it, but Harry ended up losing all the bones in his injured arm.

So he had to stay in the hospital wing while he regrew his bones with skele grow. There was a party in the common room celebrating our victory. Colin Creevey snuck away to go see Harry and got petrified. So new rules have been put in place.

(Dueling Club)

Harry's arm is all better and no one else has been petrified. Lockhart was given permission to start a dueling club to help train us students to defend ourselves. He's in charge with Snape as his assistant. I didn't see the point in going. But Fay needed a training partner.

So when the students were paired up after the demonstration. Which ended with Lockhart on his arse. Which I giggled at. Fay and I paired up. We went over to the wall so we wouldn't be in the way of other pairs. Fay made sure we face each other. Before we took five steps back. I tried to disarm her first while she practiced the shield charm.

When we went to swap we heard fights. I frown in confusion. We were all suppose to be practicing disarming and shielding only. But I hear jinxes and hexes being used. Lockhart made us all stopped then asked for Harry and Draco to demonstrate. Draco summoned a snake, I heard it hissing along with something or someone else. Snape got rid of it. Fay lead me from the room with Coal.

"Harry's a parsel mouth, he was talking to the snake" she tells me.

"Strange, you don't think he's the heir do you?" I ask her.

"Of course not, you said yourself he wouldn't hurt a fly" she reminds me.

"You're right, I'm just scared with the Chamber being open. We should do something fun, you know to relax. Get our minds off of everything" I tell her.

"Christmas is coming up, how about you come to my house for Christmas?" she suggests.

"That would be nice, but I promised my mother and sister I'd come home this Christmas. Why don't you come with?" I offer.

"Sounds like fun, I'll send an owl to my parents" she states. We start to talk about things to do on the holidays. I suggested we invite Hermione as well and Fay thought it was a great idea. She left me study and I had Coal take me to Hermione. I invited her and she politely declined, saying she planned on staying at Hogwarts this year. The spite the danger.

(Christmas Holidays)

Hermione and the others said goodbye wishing me a happy Christmas. I wished them the same. Fay and I seat together on the train, Coal laid beside me. The train ride was nice. Romilda and mum nearly hugged me to death when we reached the station though. They were worried about me with the Chamber being open.

But I assured them Coal and I are fine. Fay did also. We returned home and decorated the tree. I'd pick things out of the decoration box and the others helped me to the tree where I put it on. At one point I found tinsel, Fay and Romilda helped me for put it on as we danced to the music.

We then had roast pork for dinner. Mum cut my food for me and made sure I didn't hurt myself as I ate. For dessert we all had a slice of Christmas pudding mum made. Before deciding to relax in the living room singing Christmas carols. Until I feel asleep using Coal as a pillow.
