Chapter 12

I growl at the nickname he called me and knee him In the balls.

He doubles over but Caden still has his hands around his throat holding him to the tree.

I always hated when he called me that but was to weak to do anything.

Well not anymore.

"Bitch" he chokes out.

Caden growls and tightens his hands around franks(dad)neck.

"Listen, your not getting the money from me, You will not ask mom for shit or me ever again. You will leave all  3 of us alone for the rest of your life. Do you understand me?"

He looks at me with so much anger I mentally flinch away.

"Why should I, you going to kill me." He chokes out a laugh.

I smile a sweet smile at him.

"Yes that is exactly what I will do if you come near one us again, and if you think I'm lying try me. I would love to finally put you in the ground and not have to deal with your bullshit any more."

I can see the fear in his eyes when he knows I'm not playing.

I'm not that same little kid that wouldn't hit
back or be brave enough to leave.

"So I'm going to ask you one more time, do you understand?" I growl out

He nods his head with fear rolling though his eyes.

"Good, you will also leave the state because if I see you ever again, I will kill you."

He nods his head yes and Coach let's go of his throat.

"You have tonight to pack you belongings, tomorrow morning by 10 you will be on your way out of this state."

He practically runs to the side walk and down it.

Me and Caden watch's until we can't see him anymore then heads back to our apartment.

We finally make it back to our apartment and head to the kitchen to fix something to eat.

While Caden make some chicken and  vegetables I take the 20,000 dollars into my room and put it into my safe.

I come back out and help Caden cut up the  vegetables.

I turn on some music and connect my phone to the speakers that are through out the apartment.

"Don't you understand, what happens if we mess things up. Then what, when I coach you you won't want to listen to me because your mad at me or I won't want to talk to you and tell you what you need to do because I'll be pissed at you." He yells back

"I don't want to lose you Kasey, and if something happens between us and we screw it up, then I won't have you anymore. I can't lose the only good thing in my life." He says In a quit voice.

My lower lip starts to wobble, my eyes fill with tears but I don't let them fall.

I have never let anybody see me cry and I'm not going to start now.

I sniff and nod my head. "Your right. I don't want to lose the only good thing In my life either." I murmur

"Come here" he hold out his arms for me to go hug him and that exactly what I do.
