Imagine Ron meeting Hermoine's parents for the first time.

Hermoine brings Ron to the dentist's office to introduce him to her parents. Knocking at the doorframe, Hermoine peeks her head in to the room that her father is in, who working on a patient, while Ron is sneaking peeks inside the offices.

Mr. Granger looks up, his face brightening tremendously as he saw Hermoine. "Hermoine! C'mon in!" he called, leaving his post by the confused patient with the air-suctioner tube sticking out of his mouth.

Hermoine strolls into the room before looking back to see if Ron was following. She sighed as she backpedalled to pull the horrified Ron into the room. "Ron! This is my father you're meeting! Best behavior!" she scolded quietly.

Ron stared at her. "What're they doing? It's like they're attacking their patients' teeth with all those sharp scrapy things and the tube sticking out of their mouths. This is even worse than what I imagined, oh god, Hermoine! It's even worse than you-know-who!"

Hermoine rolled her eyes. "Oh c'mon, Ron. Just go!" And with that, she pushed Ron towards her beaming father. "Dad, this is Ron. My, erm, boyfriend. Ron, this is my dad."

"Hullo, Mr. Granger," Ron said sheepishly.

Mr. Granger looked him up and down, stroking his bare chin. A wide smile spread on his face as he brought Ron in for a bone-crushing hug, choking the poor boy.

Pulling away, Mr. Granger said, "Please, call me Dad."

As Ron and Hermoine excused themselves from his lair, Ron mouthed, 'DAD?!', in which Hermoine mouthed back with a shrug, 'I don't know!'
