It's been about a week since Bakugou, Shoto, Denki, Kirishima, and I hung out after school. It was a real fun day, we were able to have a day where we were able to act like carefree kids again. The day after though everyone got a list of pro heroes who wanted them for an internship. Shoto and I had the most requests.
However, my father made it so I can't have an internship, he believes I can't do it since I can't hear so I won't do a good job. If anything, not hearing just made me way more observant than the average person. This infuriated me but had also made me depressed because I was able to see my friends and classmates out patrolling with their heroes while I was stuck at home. Maybe if I convinced my father to get me hearing aids he'll let me have an internship with someone! But they are expensive...but we are rich...I'll ask as soon as Shoto and father come back from patrol.
I had all my homework assignments done, my chores done and I had no friends that were free to hang out. Fuyumi was out with friends and Natsuo was doing college work in his room. I mentally sighed and grabbed my second favorite manga out from my bookshelf, it was called Tokyo Ghoul. I had a lot of manga, I guess you could call me a weeb, I just keep it on the down-low since it never gets brought up so why mention it?
I plopped down on my bed with my manga in hand and began reading it. Ken Kaneki and Juuzou Suzuya have always been my two favorite characters. My phone vibrated on my stomach so I sat my book down next to me and checked out why my phone buzzed. It was a notification from a video game saying I haven't played in a while, I swiped the notification to get rid of it. Those were the only notifications I would ever get. The only person who actually messages me is Shoto when he's not home asking if I was ok. Then I decided to open up the messaging app.
I sighed and turned off my phone setting it back onto my stomach face down. I hope our father will allow me to get hearing aids. If I can get hearing aids, I'll be able to hear again, and maybe then I'll be able to have an internship like everyone else. I picked up my book and continued reading my manga. This was all my day was, I spent the whole day reading manga, I went through about four manga volumes of Tokyo Ghoul. I saw my door open up in the corner of my eye so I looked over curiously. It was my older brother Natsuo standing in my doorway.
I sat my fifth volume of Tokyo Ghoul down on my bed and sat up. "What's up, big bro?" He walked inside my room looking around as he made his way over to my bed. "It looks exactly like how he left it." He had a sad smile on his face, I nodded as I looked around remembering the times Shoto and I would burst into his room and force him to play with us. I was too young to realize how much he was hurting, maybe if I was smarter or even older I would have been able to help Touya.
"Yeah, I hope he comes back. Or at least tells us he's ok after all these years..."
Looking over to my older brother Natsuo I saw him holding a scrapbook made by our mother. I never knew she made scrapbooks until I saw on the spine of the book it read, '𝒪𝓊𝓇 𝒻𝒶𝓂𝒾𝓁𝓎' in her handwriting. Natsuo sat on the bed next to me and placed the book on his lap. Flipping over the cover of the book we saw a bunch of pictures of us as children all taken by our mom. They were all generic photos you would see in a family album, old school pictures of us, pictures of us showing off our quirks, pictures of us all standing next to each other, etc. I saw this boy who had red hair and was vaguely familiar.
"Who's that?"
"Touya."
"Wow, I almost forgot what he looked like."
I stared at the photo of all of us standing next to each other, Fuyumi was on her tiptoes smiling, Touya was almost crying and looked so shy, Nastuo had a toothy grin while Shoto was laughing at a face I was making at him. I smiled softly as I traced my fingertip across the edge of the photo.

A Monday...a fresh new week of school.

I brushed my hair and teeth, then I went to put my hair up in a ponytail like I always do but I seemed to have run out of hair ties. I rolled my eyes and closed my bathroom drawer in slight frustration. I walked out of the bathroom and saw Shoto standing there leaning against the wall ready for school.
"What took you so long?"
"I ran out of hair ties and I don't even know how!"
Shoto got up from leaning against the wall and looked at me. "We'll stop by a store and buy you new ones, it's fine." I nodded my head and we walked to school together. After an hour and a half walk, we made it to UA on time and managed to be early for class. Shoto and I went to go sit in our respected seats. Midoriya walked into class, saw me, smiled, and waved. Then he made his way over to me. "Hey you have your hair down today, it looks good." I smiled and blushed lightly at the sudden compliment. "Thank you! I would've put it up in a ponytail today like usual but I ran out of hair ties." Before Midoriya could reply Bakugou walked into the class which made Midoriya awkwardly and quickly make his way to his seat behind me.
Bakugou walked up and sat in his chair in front of me and turned his body to face me. "Good morning Bakugou." I cheered awkwardly as he gave me a slight glare. "You look less stupid with your hair down." I was taken aback by his comment and looked down at my thighs then back at him. When I looked up at him he reached up to his long sleeve uniform and pulled something off his wrist. I looked at it curiously and it was the exact same hair tie I had lost when we hung out at the park.
He handed it to me, a light blush on his face. "You left it on my phone when we were at the park, so I kept it on my wrist so I could give it back." I smiled and happily took the hair tie. "Thank you so much Bakugou." I put the hair tie around my wrist. Aizawa made Ida, our class President pass out papers for us. They were today's test, I hung my head low, Bakugou who was sitting facing the class instead of the front wall saw me in the corner of his eyes. He turned to face me confused.
"What's up with you? Aren't you supposed to be smart?"
"I am, I just happen to not be smart enough to remember a pencil today."
"Here have one of mine. But I want it back."
"Really? Thank you so much!"
"Will you ever bring one?"
I shrugged at his sarcastic question and took the pencil from his grasp. Our fingers brushed together slightly, a blush appeared on my face. He saw and smirked then mumbled something to himself before he turned around to his paper.
